Hey all you lotro players, im wondering if there are all sorts of mounts? All i saw was rent a horse, well it was like a horse that travels for you. Thanks for the replies.

Yes there is player mounts but they are only horse's not giant tigers or raptors.

do you know if they will be adding differnet mount animals?
i havent read anything of other mounts other than horses.
I assume they will add Eagles as a form of travel.

I don't think there will be anything aside from horses. Of course, some Monster Players should eventually get to ride Wargs (though a Warg is a type of playable monster--so I don't know how that'll work).
Eagles are unlikely from a lore-based perspective. However, they might make it a novelty after a high level quest. But it should definitely not occur often, if at all.
There pretty lame atm. 1 or 2 hits dissmounts you , run by a stealth mob with out being hit and get dissmounted etc etc

hmm well if the world is as big as i am hearing, i hope these mounts er quick.
omg my worst pet peeve in WoW was being dismounted, i almost killed a computer for it once..

I really don't think the dismount is that bad. It's not that hard navigating through hostile areas without falling off and dying.
The thing is, damage plays a factor in being dismounted. I think if you suddenly lose a large chunk of your morale, then you will be dismounted (this may suck more for light armor folks--but I'm really not sure since I only have one character with a mount--and he's a medium armor wearin' Hunter). So, really, you would not get knocked off your horse unless you were trying to ride through an area where your character has very little business riding through (meaning, your level is too low).
Im close to max lvl and the last couple of zones are really bad to ride through.

Well, I do agree that it should be much harder to be dismounted. But I bet Turbine will save that for an advanced riding skill (quest).
