pets and mounts and info on them plz

in World of Warcraft

ok i have a few q's if anyone could help i would be gratefull.


1] are the mounts going to count as pets .. eg : if you have a horse and a griffin can you not tame anything else ?

2] can you tame anything you want to ?

    1) mounts are not pets, for you can have noncombat pets such as a bird or a kitty. and a griffin is not a pet(aka NOT YOURS) yes you can tame other animals if you are a priest, warlock, and or hunter.

    2)depends on the class, only the hunter class has the option of having a combat pet right now. but other classses can control combat pets. worlocks can summon a pet or control demon. priests have mind control, in which they can control a humanoid for X amount of mins

    all the classes can also have non combative pets, they can have so many as you want, but alone 1 active in the same moment ::::01::

    i also heard there are some items that you can use 'x' amount of times to summon a combat pet, don't know where you'd get it from though

    usualy something droping them or buying them from someone there like the ones in wc3.

    Yea you can mount though but it kinda seems hard to control with some pets. such as the gryphons.but what is considered a pet? like a wolf? But could you use a combat PET to ride or is it beside you and helps you hunt?

    no mounts are not like pets.. cannto fight and swim with them.

    and no u canot tame nething u want..only hunter and preists(preists only can control humaniod things thou)

    dont forget WORLOCKS! demon control.

    pet:bird, cat, monkey, dog, etc

    mounts: warhorse, mechnostrider,feral wolf, nightmare, charger, rapter, and on

    NPC: gryhons and all air things

    combative permanent: hunter class animals, wolf, bear, badger

    combative nonperm: all mind controled creatures

    Hunters however will not be able to tame humanoid creatures like the preist who can tame ONLY humaniods.  I have seen screens where both combat and non-combat pets followed alongside the avatar as they rode on their mount, ( Orc warlock on a wolf mount with and imp running in tow.)  But it might just be funny picture the makes it seem that way.  If u really want to know u should check for the journal about it on WorldofWar.net

    There will be class specific mounts, like Shaman shadow horse or whatr ever and paladin charger. They may have more for other classes too.

    What about warlock special mount, nightmare? Can warlock summon pets (imp/succubi/etc) while he has nightmare summoned?

    thats a good question, i highly doubt it however for a good reason..
    a summoned creature can attack, and it would give you an edge on ttacking, not very balannced, and would defeat the purpose of non combat during mount.

    that and i dont think u can cast while on the horses anyway

    I too highly doubt this, the horse is summoned for tranportation, this horse will most likely be alot faster than the normal horse and stronger. I found out that mounts have life and can die, does anyone know what happens after they die?

    The nightmar is gonna be the same as a mount. Its just cheaper to get a nightmar then a mount cause its a spell.
