All I can say is Wow.. This game has been around for about 10 years and it is still a great game. Anyways, excuse my ranting but.. Ultima online just isn't what it used to be where you had the freedom to do whatever you chose to do. That was the beauty of Ultima Online and Trammel took it all away. For some Trammel was a blessing for some it totally just killed the game.. For me it killed the game, but nonetheless I came back for about a month.
Getting used to the current Ultima Online took a short amount of time even with all the new places, skills and combat moves.. The challenge is getting good, the skill gain seems slower and theres nobody to practice my skills on. The server I was playing on didn't have much of a population, I'd see the same bunch of players all the time and I got tired of seeing the same people all the time . As I stated before, Ultima Online just isn't what it used to be but it is still a good game. With all the new content coming out for it (Kingdom Reborn), I'm sure it will pull back some players. But personally, I think I am done with Ultima Online unless there is a server where it is a replica of the year 1999.
Anyways, for those of you veterans who choose to come back, beware, it's not what you think it is. For those of you who never heard of Ultima Online, give it a try, I'm sure you'll be able to have more fun than I did .

I havent played UO but have heard alot about it, in my opion a sequel with a graphical change etc can be very successfull
Played almost everything...
Currently playing nothing...
Waiting for: Darkfall, WAR, Guild Wars 2.
True, graphics are usually what turns most players away or into a game. So maybe this might spark a new population for Ultima Online, who knows, life is a box of chocolate .
AND THAT THERE FOLKS IS WHAT EA needs to grasp.....their too busy buying out other companies and other games rather then makeing their own ..... i wish ultimaX i think it was called ...... was developed.... it looked really amazing....
Playing: EVE Online
Favorite MMOs: WoW, SWG Pre-cu, Lineage 2, UO, EQ, EVE online
Looking forward to: Archeage, Kingdom Under Fire 2

You have no idea how successful it would really be! IMO, it has been the most wanted MMO since the beginning of the decline of UO. Keep in mind UO was the first great MMO and the fact that it still has subs with such outdated graphics and outdated content says a lot about the UO fans. UO is a older community who take MMOs very serious and are often long time subscribers. The demand has been out there for a long time, but I doubt it will ever be answered with Richard Garriots new MMO coming out soon. Without RG it just wouldn't be what we fans would want.
