    hmmm... probably not by much.  But either way, you'd have to run east to slow it's rotation down since the earth spins westward.  Otherwise the force would speed the spin.

    False. Earth spins east, not west.

    edit: But what you said is correct. If we ran west against the spin, the force from our legs (hypothetically) would make the Earth spin faster in the opposite direction (like a treadmill), i.e. East, making the Earth go even faster.

    Probably not enough mass of humans to make any significant change in the rotation of the earth.

    Plus since the earth's crust lies on top of liquid metal... The best we could do would probably be to move one of the techtonic plates in a certain direction...  But thats pushing it... and highly doubtable...

    Its like saying ... IF ALL  the hair on my body moved in one direction ... could that make my body move as well? Considering you aren't Repunsel or something

    You guys are stupid. you dont have to run in any direction to affect the earths spin.

     

     Just get superman to fly around it really fast ;0)
