After a month of EQ2/WoW

Which new game will dominate, once most people realize EQ2 and WoW aren't the paradise of mmorpg that they thought.
I know there is no chance of those 2 failing with all the warcraft/eq fans in the world..but for all the old school mmorpg players looking for something new, there seem to be some promising options.

Plus i just wanted to see one of these polls that weren't dedicated to eq2 and WoW.

    I'm not looking at any of those games either. I'm still waiting. Waiting to see EA's next move. If they're trying to lure old skool fans back, I may fall into their trap. I still have to wait and see. But NONE of the games out right now are worth playing, in my opinion.

     I wouldn't play any of those games image. At least put Dark and Light in the poll. I'd play that game image

    I believe Guildwars will attract many young gamers, because there will be no need to pay per month with a major credit card. You buy the game and thats it.. until an expansion is introduced, but otherwise you wouldn't pay a regular monthly fee.

    posting game discussion is what this site is for i thought.

    personaly i think tabula rasa looks really cool from what little i can gather on it, though i vote for dragon empires, and ya i should have put d&l on there. but how can you say you hate all those games when you dont have a clue how they are gonna play::::37:: hater.

    first off, hater is obviously not a rude thing to call someone, and it wasnt even directed at you, it was to the guy who hates all these games, even though he hasnt played one of them.

    and if i wanted to be 'mean', as you say, i would simply jump on posts i dont like and post nothing but the word spam. becasue not only does it put the people down who posted it, it makes you look unbeliebably cool in the process!!::::28::

    I won't answer your poll because i will not realize that EQ2 isn't the paradise i have been hoping for. It will be the paradise! Wether you accept that or not! And plus, i haven't been following many other games, i've only followed EQ2 in the last month or 2 during its home stretch before release!

    The only game i think is hyped too much is WoW. just my opinion

    I doubt any of those games you listed will do any better than WoW or EQ2. None of them has the quality game play I'm looking for.

    Serious gamers who love a persistant complex world will be on Dark and Light. Those who tire of the same old thing in WOW and EQ2 and want some real competition will come over to Dark and Light.

    My vote goes to DnL. Honestly right now it looks better than both WoW and EQ2. I'm sure it will disappoint be though... and ill end up with WoW.

    I just would like to say that there really is no "old school" mmorpgs, that whole gaming category is fairly new.

    I believe that EQ2 will be an awesome game. But even then, I am just looking forward to it as filler until Vanguard comes out. Vanguard has an all star cast of designers, powerful new game building tools from Microsoft (not to mention the $$$), and it has one of the best engines in the gaming industry. It will be the true sequal to EQ. With all the lessons learned and the best game building tools, Vanguard will take the genre into a new phase.

    I'll try EQ2 for it's crafting system, but just during the OB. Not interested in Wow, nothing new, nothing i have never done in another mmo.

    Well i had to vote for guildwars on this poll based on my E3 experience. I see a lot of people voted for guildwars too but neglected to make a comment. Tabula Rasa i also have respect for and will probably try it out at some point. I recently tried eq for the first time and hated it so much. Ugh. I dont know much about the other games but i prefer games that are innovative and i think guild wars is definitly that the pvp in this game is outstanding i loved the tournaments in the e3 demo and i cant wait to play more of it. Middle Earth online is probably gonna be a eq2/wow clone with middle earth content which isnt very exciting to me. in conclusion huray guild wars

    If EQ2 and WoW arent the best MMORPGs then the ones you listed in the poll definitely arent.

    any reasoning behind this? or is it just a blind statement.
    the most experienced and respected developers are behind these games, why do some of you automaticly write them off as sucking?
