so i'm trying the 7 day trial

in Everquest II

the patch says 16 hrs! is this just me? or is that fairly normal?

    if i remember correctly it says around 16 hours then goes down rapidly ends up being about 3 hours...

    well then just wait i guess, what speed are you getting? I dloaded the Tabula Rasa beta (2.2GB) in around 30-50 minutes

    is the trial still restricted to newbie island? If so the DL even without the patch takes a lot longer than what little bit of content you will be able to see LOL.

    Yup, it is.  Also a good way to get people buy the game.  If they like what they see, they will take a decision in a matter of hours.

    i agree. The only reason i bought the game was because I could only get to ten and I wanted to see what else there was. I had 6 or so level ten guys before I bought the D2D.  I had tried the trail of the isle one a while back but the new fae area's made me want to see the rest..

     

    As for time I DL it as I slept so not sure how long it really took but I think it was worth it. Much better then the other trails I have played since taking a break from wow.

    When I resub and reloaded the game took me 2 days and i have 5meg cable speed.  So not uncommon and look at it this way servers have been down all day and no eta when they will be back up .  It is now 2:45pm pst

    It starts off like that and goes down. It took 3 hours for me, not that bad. But I'm on Cable internet, so it may vary with your speed.

    I once tried the trial. but i never got a insight about how the real game was.. is it player run economy (spelling).  what about housing? is it like old swg??
