Hiya guys
Im thinking of trying daoc for the first time and was wondering as a uk based player wll i be better to try the us or uk client. I do tend to play odd hours or late nights however is it ok in terms of stable conneciton and populaiton to go on the us servers as i would imagine the populaiton would be a little better. I also think the us trial gives u access to all the expansions.
Thansk for any info

You should play on the US servers then. Europe ( UK ) is totally dying, US barely alive.
However, I would not recommend playing DAoC atm, not until they do following :
Serious clustering WITH realm timers and merging of the old mainland and SI and TOA. They should merge all the servers ( including Europe servers, US servers, PvE, PvP, Classic and RP ) into the US regular servers. And keep 1 or max 3 final servers.
They should copy the rules that made classic good to the regular servers and make ToA skills completely available thru RvR ( wich they already done mostly ), including killing buffbots, removing /level command, etc.
Further improve the UI and make some good interactive maps ( like in WoW ).
Once that is completed, I would consider reactivating.
I suggest against starting with DAoC at the current time. Unless you tried out all the other mmorpg's and you dont mind soloing to 50.
I am afraid, that currently WoW is a much better game. Both PvE and PvP wise.
However, if DaoC could be restored to it's former glory, during the SI era, it would be the best experience.
