If your too busy dwelling on your own hatred and directing it at anger towards Vanguard, no time is good enough.. BUT if you want great game that is practically stable ( on my computer at least ) I'd come back after the merges, GU 2 really trimmed the gristle.

yeah id say so, but venting your anger on an inanimate object is healthy lol. i have vanguard only positive thing i got out that gme was a 3 month free account in eq2 :P now i can dual box for 3 months free.

Yes, Good thing i got free subscriptions to EQ2 from the result of 2 guild edition vanguard game boxes. I should have frap the result from smashing the vangard cd and game boxes on youtube, and show everyone what the game is.
I took a big hammer from my garage and smashed the guild edition boxes of vanguard alone with the cds.
I wouldn't come back. I did but only because there are no other games out right now with a ffa pvp server with a rogue class.
DAOC has ffa pvp (Mordred) they dont have "rogues" but they have infiltrators, shadow blades, and night shades. They are rogue / assassin classes. Though only currently 240 people on that server.

Yeah but in vanguard you can get coin from killing players. With all the gold farmers and twinks I find it actually very lucrative to pk and gank jigs in vanguard.
Also I am burnt out on daoc as i played it for three years.

You actually needed a hammer to accomplish this feat? All I'm going to say is regardless of what you think of the game present day, you still bought the 2 guild edition boxes (correct me if I'm wrong though), so in truth, you've already financed your arch-enemy's (seemed to be a fitting word) road to success...if that ever could happen, only time will tell though.
I was sitting at home friday night, bored out of my mind. I tried a few old mmorpg's in the last few days since wow and lotro really aren't interesting for me anymore. I tried City of villains, eq2 trial, eve online and a few others. None of them could hold me longer than a few levels (maybe 4-5 or so). Since WAR is still a long time away, I thught i'll give this game a chance.
I bought it online, started downloading and THEN came here to read a bit about it while it's downloading.
Well I was shocked. Looked like this game was Hell. But since I paid already i thought ill give it a try, bought 1 monthly subscription and logged on the next day...
... and I really like it. Yeah it has flaws, you can feel its not quite finished yet, but nothing that would be so bad i'd stop playing. I really like the feeling of the game. I started a monk char and I have to say Im having a great time. I can't quite pinpoint what draws me to the game.. I just like it. Two things that stand out; fighting and the monk Questline. I really like how combat works with the char and the story of the questline gives me a feeling of actually getting better.
The only really downside is the low population... i feel very alone at times. But I read something about server merges, so that might get better soon.
If you if your thinking about giving it ago, I say, do it. It might need improvement, but it's going in a good direction and from what I read, it can only get better.
