Good question, and that depends on what class you are looking at. Each class has str. and weakness, overall i would say the Rouge, Warrior, and Paladin would be your best bet. But that doesnt meen you wont see mages and priest kicking monster butt::::28::

Actually all classes from what I hear are about the same Solo wise. Some classes though require a little bit more downtime than others (Warriors who have to eat to heal, Mages who have to drink to regain mana faster, etc.)

At this moment in time though, I believe the Shaman is actually the best soloer. They can drop totems to damage, buff and heal over time using minimal mana (this could change though). They are also are good at combat with their weapon enhancements (the fire imbued weapons of course) and they can get chainmail at level 40 which almost makes them look like a light tank.

Anything could change though overtime. We'll just have to wait and see.

Well, best soloing would probably be:

    1. Warlock

    2. Priest

    3. Shaman

(psst, I know what im talking aboutimage)

    #1 Warlock

    #2 Preist

    #3 Rouge

Rouge will be able to solo well. Just on the fact that so much damage can be put on the inital blow. Hunter needs to go on honorable mention for the fact of having a pet. Using the pet to tank and shoot the monster helps.

Well besides classes and all, what about the race for soloing.  Each race will have there own set of stats even with the same class as other races.  So you'd have to figure that part out first which race is best for which class.  You could have a Human Warrior and a Orc Warrior and the Orc would be a tad stronger by stats than the Human would.  Anyone have any ideas for that? image

I would say for soloing either a warrior or a hunter. A warrior becuase they are very strong or a hunter becuase hunters have pets that will help you attack. But yet also a mage becuase you can have a pet when your a mage. you can have those large infernal giants.

I also think the shamen is the best for these reasons. He can summon up to 4 totems meaning 4 diff buffs, debuffs, attacking totems. Pluse since a shamen got a buff now with chainmail. The shamen now is like a fighter/mage(more of the mage) unlike the paladin were its still a fighter/mage but more of a fighter.

traditionally form what ive seen from other games, is that the warrior would be the best.

the reason i say thins is because the warrior, traditionaly, can take more damage than any other class.  because of this, in my opinion, they would make the best soloing class... if they can take mre damage, then they can whack things them selvs and not worry about getting raped as easily.

i dont know about what it will be like in WoW though as i think it may vary a bit on traditional mmorpg's.  if most of them are pretty much the same, then i think that it wont really matter.  it sounds like no certain race or class is going to have any special abilities, i.e. night elvs would be able to see at night, where as other races would have to have something that will make them be able to see at night like a spell that they cast or an item that they carry like a mask.

Ok, the hunter or Shaman will be the best. Shaman get pets, and when you said shaman get chainmail and are best solo's.... um did you forget that its at lvl 40 DUH. but i think they are the ones that summon, the hunte rbecause they can do moderate damage and LVL UP a pet. Each pet gets it's own skills, so you can find a really good tank and have it grow with you. Sounds cool huh? If you have any corrections please post a reply.

"Shaman get pets"::::12:: OOOO really? I have never seen a shaman with a pet, unless you consider a totem poll a pet, lol.

i'd say the hunter would be best for soloing cuz of his pets and the long distance so he wouldnt get hurt

but for fun i would have to say the rouge would be the funist beacuse of his stealthy move and such

In my opinion, it would have to be the Paladin. A class I will play frequently, I might add. The reason I say that they can solo well is because they can physically damage an opponent and use magics against an opponent in a bit higher levels as well. Also, if you ever in a bind they have a healing spell.

Rogue I am not too sure I would want to solo further on in the game with a rogue but early on, it would be an effective class.  Later on would be harder because it can't wear any type of super powerful armor but can still deal huge ammounts of damage.

Warrior looks like a good class to solo with at any time. They can deal out massive ammounts of damage physical damage and also have good armors available so that it can absorb a good deal of the damage thrown out.

Those are my top three favorite classes and ones I will most definately be playing so it might have a bit of a slant. I have never been too good with casters so that is why there are none in this post. I am just talking about what I know, and I know melee.

Mage can't summon, warlock can. So probably warlock = best solo class, when he gets tank pets (voidwalkers and infernals) he can let pets tank and cast spells himself (heal pet, curse enemy, or nuke)... Great! ::::27:: Of course melee tank classes like paladins and warriors will be good soloing classes, as in all MMORPGS. They do nice dmg and can take hits, so ::::23:: I think mage class won't be so good for solo because he won't be able to tank and will have no pets ::::05::

  • schalezschalez Member Posts: 14

yes, i would think one of the funnest solo classes would be warlock, just because of your chance to summon so many different thigns into one battle (and you just might NEED to do that) when your balancing aggro.

The warlock isnt realy a great melee fighter, so he/she uses a balance between their summons and them to tick off the enemy, confuse them, ect.

although im curious about this in solo pvp, mainly b/c if a paladin or fighter walks up and sees a voidwalker come by, i doubt they are gunna go after it if the can gt after the warlock which is th soft chewey center of it.

But, its not that big of a deal, because all races and classes are pretty much designed to be able to solo, thats why bliz is taking so long, balance balance balance.::::31::

True true, players aren't dumb so they will attack warlock instead of his pets ::::26::

It probably will be very good for solo. You'll have a huge array of pet choices to choose from (you'll have to tame and train them all first though) and each type of pet has it's own unique benefits and abilities (ie: Bears are big, strong but slow. They'll have heavy hitting styles and attacks where as a panther might be fast, agile and will have quick critical strikes).

Ya, I agree on the hunter being a good solo class, its almost like playing with 2 chars. at a time, for example you can have a bear tank for you, panther with rogue like ability, ect. ect. ect. My fav. pet is a spider::::40::::::24::::::40::, I think spiders do DOT(damage over time) with their poison. Yes very creepy to think about::::28::.
