Everyone can agree that UO and DaoC had the best back in their days, but what about now? Games have changed, and I'd like to see people's opinions on the best PvP at the moment.
As of August 19th, 2007, what MMO has the BEST PvP -now-? Post your vote!

Out of those I only think UO, DAoC and EVE belong to be honest. But I suppose that's just my experienced opinion.
mainly because of the direction PvP and the community has gone, guildwars would be the winner. though if you wanted classic style PvP it'd be EvE.
I find it amazing that by 2020 first world countries will be competing to get immigrants.
Eve and Vanguard - FFA FTW.
I hope you understand that just like every poll about MMO's, this is going to just turn into another popularity contest. No matter what question you ask, if it involves "which MMO is best at xx", people respond with whatever they play. The fact that WoW even has 1 vote shows that.
Eh what's bad with WoW?
Anyway, I think Lineage 2 is. Don't even start complaining about the grind, "Wahh wah it's too long", leveling speed has NOTHING to do with PvP content in reality.
Guild wars i wouldent class as an mmo, but it dose have high quality pvp.
Eve = pvp. But tbh shadowbane pvp is awesome.
________
Played:[EQ][Eve][SWG][DaoC][ShadowBane][Coh/Cov][Vanguard]
Playing:[Guildwars][BF2/2142]
Next Big MMo:[Ifinity][STO]
Good responses!
I agree that GW isn't a typical MMORPG, but is still a massively online role playing game...

I look forward to discovering the game that is what I always wanted in an online roleplaying game. I'll keep searching but give WoW a break. It isn't nearly as sucky as many many many of the others I've tried.
WoW isn't bad, but the balance issues are just god awful. That's like the only real reason I quit.
Lineage 2 has an excellent PvP system, but how it all turns out really depends on your server politics. Some servers get all the action, while some get none at all.
I demand Eve be removed from the list! Those 5 people don't count.
as of today.... guildwars is probably the most balance pvp games out there... althought i am not really sure if i can call it a mmorpg...
games like uo and daoc used to be one of the best pvp mmorpg out there .... but after all these years these games just aren't the same anymore, mainly because of the gap between older players and new players is too huge.
the concept of games like wow aren't really that bad, but since the game depends on gears too much, you aren't really compete with older players if you are new to the game. I have to say back then when WoW was still fresh some people have and should give wow more credit on its pvp systems before the game change to a raid-or-quit game.
Same thing can be apply to L2 without the class balance. Your only chance to actually be able to pvp in L2 is to become a mage type class....
shadowbane was fun but now it has too little players to maintain the world balance . therefore the game is dominate by a c ouple large guild. Since the game is ffa small guilds will have no c hance to actually enjoy the content.
so.. ya.... probably guildwars is your best choice since the max level in that game isn't that hard to re ach
I voted: other (would have voted Ashersons Call)
Er no.
Er no.
Godly response
Guild Wars for me. I like the idea of using only 8 skills and how there really is no invincible spec or such.
Yeah cause you havent lived untill you played COX pill popper pvp...
Nothing like a guy swallowing a bunch of inspirations (outside buffs that you can buy from a vendor) and then comming up and 2 shotting you.. WEEEEE!!! now thats fun right there boy.
Keep in mind this is comming from someone who has the highest rep pvp you can possible have in that game on a level 30 toon to boot. And I still think COX pvp is garbage, might as well be playing RF online potion pop.
PS Stop hating on WOW scrubs.

You see, every mammal on this planet instinctively develops a natural equilibrium with their surrounding environment, but you humans do not. You spread to an area, and you multiply, and you multiply, until every natural resource is consumed. The only way you can survive is to spread to another area. There is another organism on this planet that follows the same pattern. Do you know what it is? A virus. Human beings are a disease, a cancer of this planet.-Mr.Smith
