hi since i cant use the official forums
i wanted to ask here if someone knows
how the beta will proceed
the letter with the beta key had the server up times
til today so how will it go on?
any information?

this is the last weekend for fileplanet subscribers, the closed beta with rest of the testers will continue.
Why cant they play?

The fileplanet beta key was a limited offer giving access for a week.
I'd like to say this doesn't effect fileplanet / ign founders key's, just in case if anyone was worried
If you want to play in the closed Beta, just buy a Pre-Order kit, you even get a discount
if you buy the kit and the full game via PlayNC's store, so you won't pay a cent more then
others
I dunno if I should wildly speculate but i think maybe they are setting up new message boards for open beta.
Because honestly the closed beta being a whole different phase of production well frankly why muck up closed beta message boards with a monstrous influx of open beta people shouting where is x, Mr Yy wants 10 of em.
SO I am waiting patiently and hoping I am right and will be the guy on the new open beta forum typing

I just have the pre-order, and while it seems that I cannot play the game (though am getting all the patches), I can read the beta forums (though it took a message to the support team to successfully apply for a forum account). I couldn't find anything about the beta ending or even the open beta beginning during my first few scans across the threads. My speculation is that things will be progressing quickly if they plan to release by this fall. However, this game has been in development for a number of years, and I wouldn't be surprised if they decided that another few months of testing will be necessary. Personally, I wouldn't be all that down about it... it'd show that the company is dedicated to putting out a great game, not a disappointment for us all.
You can play game only at open playing times, mondey and wednesday from 17:00 till 02:00 (UK time), and during weekend. Rest of time you cant play.
About open beta, dunno when they plan to do it but from what i see they are really listening to what players are saing and they are implementing all those nasty little things we all want into game...i was really suprised to hear that cause that gives TR one extra + from me.

I wouldn't invest too much stock into that idea. I won't comment on the actual game, but I will say that the game is coming along very nicely, but the developers are still getting a lot of good reports and feedback from closed beta testers, so much so, that I would be very surprised for them to let in a huge influx of people just looking for a game to play, not test.

I am fairly sure that well before it is time for open beta they will make the closed one be up all days of the week.
As someone said testing times as of now is restricted, before they let in a whole slay of people I would think they wanted to test their network a LOT more, as in letting both US and EU people play at the same time, around the clock.
When that happens open beta will not be that far of, but they will probably run such a test for a couple of weeks at least.

A few days of open beta are often done as load test and/or promotion.
It really sucks if you go live with paying users and suddenly find out your server will collapse under more than 500 users
