Really it depends on the gameplay for me. Most Sci-fis are more geared to action which is why I like them. However there are a number of excellent fantasy games as well. All depends on how combat is played in the game.
In order to get a true over all feel for what people prefer, shouldn't this sort of poll be in a more general location? Posting on a Sci-Fi forum asking if people prefer sci-fi rather defeats the purpose.
The problem i got with sci fi games is that they are always done in nasty run down waste lands, why cant i shoot aliens in lush forests and big grassy plains, why do I always gotta fight them in acient destroyed cities in the middle of some death infested desert? Give me a sci fi game in a fantasy world and ill be set
Well TR has plenty of lush forest grassy plain. And if you dont protect it it will all be futuristic wastelands.

Saw a similar poll less than a week ago, with the percentage being the other way around (sci-fi > fantasy) at about 40 votes. I've been trying to get a few more votes in my own poll (without bumping) by adding it in my signature.
I lke Sci-fi but i dont like Tabula Rasa.

I still have to see a true ROLE PLAY GAME on pc or consolle... 'till now fantasy ones are those who resemble more a role play game, sadly.... I adore sci-fi.
