Few Questions.

Howdy guys,

I've been looking about, and since I've recently shifted over from Age of Conan to wait for this game, looking for a few answers.

1. Are there any differences with the PC version and the Xbox360? Will they be running on the same servers? (I'd expect them too.) Also, same release date expected?

2. Crafting. Haven't found much information on this so far, read what was in that thread about here.. but once again, not much.

3. Has there been any word on a level cap or whatnot?

4. Will we be expected to waste away hours as part of a raid?

And.. that's all I really have at the moment. Thanks in advance!

    40.

You can but you don't have to. This is a pvp game after all.

It doesn't really matter. They have stated that if they ever do, they won't be playing on the same server. (PC vs Xbox won't happen and yes, it's a good thing)

What deserves to be done, deserves to be "well" done...

    Here is the 360 source.

I don't understand, why would it be a bad thing? It reaches to a broader audience.

Also, if you're referring to the immature audience many mature gamers refer to that play consoles.. don't generalise. Many people play consoles simply because they prefer a cheaper more efficient gaming system other than a PC, which is fair enough. It doesn't make them any less mature and sensible than a majority of PC gamers.

The only downside I can see is simplified controls or a port being done, but I highly doubt that will occur.

Thanks to those who answered my questions! Great help!

The greater majority of console gamers are younger BECAUSE its cheaper, iv yet to play a single M rated game on my 360 without hearing a voice that sounds younger then 12 shouting out fa**ot and ni**er to everyone. Perhaps most people are stereo-typing but from my own experience i can say its not without ground.

    I have to agree, the majority are younger because the console itself is cheaper, however;

I've met many 20 year olds that are down-right more immature and pathetic than a good lot of 14 year olds. It just varies from person to person, and is a part of online gaming everywhere, not just the console. It would be ignorant of me to say that younger people aren't generally more immature, but just have to be careful with generalisations. ;)

    1. while some years ago they had a xbox working aplha client, no news has been announced about a xbox version yet. As things stand they might do it later on but they will release pc only.

having a xbox version is not a bad thing perse, actually pretty good as it makes the potential markets a great deal bigger, but having players, using possibly two very different control methods, compete on a pvp game can be.... unwise, unavoidably, while both can be serviceable, one of the two control methods will be found superior and those players at an advantage against the rest.

Much better to have everyone on same platform play with everybody else with same platform.

    2. crafting has not been revealed yet, that is why you got squat from your research... cause there is squat.

    3. 40 pve ranks. 100 pvp ranks. 100 guild ranks. what the pvp or guild ranks do is anybody's guess. the best theory goes that the pvp ranks will work like DaoC realm points, unlocking pvp abilities, while guild ranks will gradually give your guild more priviliges (like having a battle standard, customized tabard or who knows). however 100 guild ranks seems pretty many for the few perks... they might have something else in their pocket for guilds

    4. no. and yes.

If by raid you mean PvE raid, then not at all. There will be few pve raids and not required at all. Best gear do come from raids, though, pvp ones. to sack the enemy capital or so it is given to understand so far. It is everybody's hope that gear means someting but not the end and all of it, but there have still not been much concrete evidence of this.

Woot! Thanks mate! Thats the exact kind of post I needed.

    1. Agreed completely on the Xbox thing.. I was planning on purchasing a 360 for the sake of mucking about with mates when they came over and to play a lot of new release titles (Assassin's Creed, GTA IV and Mass Effect) when they were due as my aging system can't run them. But then I heard War was going to make an appearance there as well, ah well. I might just upgrade the computer in the end.

    2. Bloody squat. Hopefully the upcoming convention might yield a little light.

    3. Sounds great, thanks!

    4. What I meant by raid was raids in general, PvE and PvP. One of the largest drawbacks of WoW was the long, the boring, PvE raids. Sure some were fun, but the constant grinding to gain gear, was not. That and time became an issue. WAR however, looks to solve that, I get to kill stuff for hours, and gain benefits!
