What is your problem? Insults and lies don't help your arguments in any way whatsoever. I have never had a conversation about the system specs of the two games, and I definately never argued in favor of an over priced Alienware computer. I think you are a very confused individual.
Well one way i look at it man...is the fact that in gaming SoE...and Blizz are 2 of the biggest companies.......

What makes you think WoW won't be as long term? (I.e have as long a mindnumbingly boring lvl-grind)
blizz has fixed this with their rest system that works great with beta testers, and pissed off some of us non testers. i personaly love the idea.
also they give xp for many other things, including quests and exploration.
ive been a blizz fan for about 6 years, so yes, im a loyal fanboy.
i love the cartoonish graphix of WoW, because they are detailed as well, and a poster was right about blizzards ability to do amazing stuff with graphix if they chose, if u have ever seen any cinematics from their games, you would agree.
A big thing is that this is blizzards first MMORPG, having their huge fanbase and gaming experience to back them up, where EQ2 has had all of EQ and its expansions to try hone its blade, a big question is will the Masterful Newcomer to the MMO world outdo the MMO game from back when

everquest has been around for a long time, and for people that know of everquest's success, know, and hope, that eq 2 will be just as good, if not better.
i currently play everquest, and to me, it is nothing more than 'just ok'. the reason being is that i started eq not too long ago, a couple months to be exact, and there really isnt the amount of hype put on for new players like myself. the people that have been playing since the games release are compleatly cought up in the whole thing, and thats ok, thats what its there for. but for me, who just started, its really lame because there are not that many people to play with, there just isnt the content that there used to be.
when my friend played eq a long time ago, certain areas were flooded with people constantly. now, those same areas are completly empty, im lucky if there's one other person with me in the whole zone.
so, if you can see it, the vets will probibly move to eq2 if they are getting tired of eq and are looking for a sequal. and those of us that dont have a game as a home yet, may very well do some eq2, but people like me, who have tried eq and arnt really happy with it will probibly look for something differant.
this is just my point of view to the whole situation, and someone else might wonder what i have been smokeing that past couple of days, but im sure there is someone out there that agrees with something i have to say on this subject.
IT should be WoW vs. EQII becuase there is nothing else that compares to them. well besides GW that every one thinks it compares with WoW wich i think it doesnt
The funny thing is WoW has less content than any other game coming out. WoW cant even be compared to EQ1 just for the meer fact that EQ1 has so much to offer that it will take ur whole life to discover everything in the game and i dont think u will even finish cause expasion just poppin.
EQ1 was great and EQ2 will be build on 5 year experience and on the fact that its basicaly sequal of the king of all MMORPGs that is EQ1.
one of my friends who has been playing this game since its release is very into eq1, and while he is playing it, it is hard to ask him a question or point something out to him. if the house was on fire, i think that it would take hima moment to realize it, and when he did realize it, he would make sure to camp all his chericters before just running out of the hose.
maybe all that is a little over the fence, but i just want to make it obviuse how alive eq1 is and how into the game some people are into it.

... when my friend ends his journies through the eq1 world for the evening, we do talk about what is happening in the world of eq1. yes they are comeing out with differant expansions, but one of there zones in PoP did not get finished, and that was a big laughing stalk of his guild. he tells me how the world of eq1 has changed in that there isnt a gm per server, that its only one gm for every 3 servers. and he also tells me about how things that him and his guild have gotten used to are now going to make a drastic change. the rules in the manegement in PvP servers for one, they are going to make all the places that people refer to as safe zones PvP zones now. this is makeing a lot of people mad now. places like PoK is now goiing to be a PvP zone. ha, what an idea, make one of the largest transportation hubs a PvP zone now. some people will like this, but i know he doesnt, and i know that i dont like it.
he is the one who introduced me to WoW about a week ago, and i have been glued to message boards since then. he tells me he is seriously thinking about moving completly over to WoW when it launches. for a while me and him both agreed that eq2 was nothing more than playing the same eq1, just in more polygons. i now know that this isnt the case, yes it will be in more polygons but it will be a new line in the story book.
it all hard to say how things will work out when they both launch. i think that there will be a large amount of players for both gams as each of them apeal to a differant audience for a differant reason.
its gonna be WoW and eq2 because the crowd always wants a definate champion between two things that they think are peerless, and i'm betting half the ppl who start those threads are starting them just to see which game they should buy, and are too busy to look up the gamesights by themselves

Are you suggesting that WoW is supposed to have more content than a mmrpg that has been out for 5 years and has gone through that many expansion packs? And are you suggesting that EQ2 will have MORE content than EQ1 after all these expansion packs? Uhh yeah whatever you say!
The question you should be asking is, does WoW have enough content to keep people busy. Will you run out of places to visit, dungeons to crawl through and levels to gain in short period of time? Doubt it.
Understand this WoW will never be better than EQ or EQ2. My friend is in the beta and most of the game is just quests. Thats all u do run around and do questst that are like 1 hour long, and after few days of playing u can have the best wep in the game. I think that just goes to show that Blizzard that blizzard is aiming at that a kids under the age of 15 cause they are simpleminded and they wouldnt like anything complicated, they would just quit if it was too hard. Anyways to my point. WoW doesnt bring anything new to the MMORPG world other than very big hype for a very OVERrated game. EQ2 will be build on a 5 year experience and im sure most of the ppl who have experienced EVerqCrack konw that they will be playing EQ. EQ is the only game that when u quit, there is this sense or something that makes u alwasy come back to it. Thats because EQ1 has so much content that gets u hook forever. First of all lets actually talk what the topic is about. It is WoW vs EQ2 because they are the best games that will probably be on the market for a few years.
Now on the with rant: Well you see it is true that WoW is quest based but my friend who is in the beta gave me a great piece of advice about WoW. Don't play it by yourself. If you play it make sure you either have friends who play it, or you can easily make friends with the people playing it. He says that going all by your lonesome is truly not nearly as fun as going into a party and going crazy with other people. This is why I am not the only one out of my MMORPG group going to be buying this game. About 5 more of my friends will be buying this to make for an interesting game. However EQ2 isn't bad either. I have looked at it and hoped to play. Also EQ2 can be enjoyed very well by yourself or with friends. However i have played EQ but truly did not like it. The game is fine and good but it doesn't give me the fantasy feel i need. This is why my pick is with WoW it might be quest based but its a quest based fun adventure with buddies.
P.S. Another quick thing I would like to mention is that the community of silly little kids that usually follow around blizzard games will probably NOT be playing WoW. You see it is easy to get your parents to buy you a game. It is MUCH harder to make them pay a monthly fee for you to play your game.
