Who else played the 360 demo from XBL... multiple times?

It's an amazing game. The overall graphical quality and effects are amazing along with the new approach to FPS gameplay.

So many different ways to set kills up, its awesome.

I am definitely picking it up on tuesday.

Anyone else's thoughts?

I played the demo and wasn't that impressed but i liked the city and the style but wasn't fond of all the magic stuff. The 360 controller aswel just didn't go down well with me so i'll just play the PC version and then cast my verdict.

I was so impressed by watching my friend play the demo, that I've ordered an XBOX 360 today.

Just seems the right time to own one...can't wait to play the full version!

I've played through it four times. >.>

I'm not the one to buy games either (I only own one) but this one I think I'm going to pick up tomorrow as long as I can find a copy.

  • ...still waiting for the PC demo. If it's as good as I'm hoping and hearing, it's a definite keeper.

We set up our spot for Bioshock PC and Bioshock Xbox 360.  I had literally over a couple dozen people tell me how amazing this game was (which is a good amount considering its Target and not a gaming centralized store).

100% of them who played the demo was utterly mesmerized.  I, myself, will be picking it up tomorrow

Eh... I got the demo and that was about all I thought.

The encounters were pretty repetitive, and the security things were pretty annoying.  I did like the hacking, but that got repetitive too.

My conclusion:  Rent, don't buy.  It's not "out of this world" like some people claim, and no multiplayer kills the replay.

I can watch scary movies all day long, but for some reason I can't enjoy "scary" games. Just like with Doom 3, I could not get very far into the Demo without quitting. Of course, this fact makes me appreciate the game. However, it is not my type of game anyway.

Loved the old lounge music though, that type of music is the absolute best for horror movies or games alike.

I started downloading the demo the day it came out, and half way through it, my TV went black. The sound was still working, but the video was gone. Now I have to wait for them to send me a box and then wait again for 3 or 4 weeks for them to send it back.

Why some people play games like this on Xbox, when a PC has much nicer interface for this kind of games?.

Because not everyone has a top of the line gaming rig?

No, wait, nevermind. That makes too much sense.....

I could never enjoy the controller setup. I love my mouse+keyboard combo. Still, if people like the console I won't knock it.

....but when did you play Gears of War on PC, didn't think it was even in demo form anywhere?

BF2 being an exception, I'm pretty sure he was talking about FPS(Am I wrong?) and not 3rd person shooters.

Well after 2 hours downloading it i finally gave this game a go and i ahve to say the architecture loooks pretty stunning. And while playing i noticed they used the diary system and the Ghst system to tell the story of rapture.

    - Diary system is basically you pick up recordings made by people.

    - Ghost system is where you see a ghost doing a set action to tell a story such as that one in the womens toilets.

This was a system imvented by this games developers when it made System shock 2. Which is comforting as it rpobably means that the story is quite involved. What i also like is what was seen in the movie at the end showing various things that will be possable in the game which will prove to be an inventive way of introducing inovative FPS thinking in a FPS game which is pretty threadbarre nowadays in such games.

I got my copy today but could only play for about an hour.  My husband had to go out for a few hours and I got too creeped out to play while the house was empty.    I love scary games and films, but not while I'm alone!
