    As far as FREE games go and for a beta, this game is pretty good.  The world design is very nice, and the architectural graphics are right up there with all the modern F2P games.  The character graphics aren't the best there are, but they are on par with WoW at least.  They have a bit of that cartoonish feel.  Not to mention they have a nice RvR PvP system.

    If you play it though, you may want to know a bit of spanish/portuguese to speak with many of the other players as this is an Argentinain game.  But you can set the client language to English and play the game quite perfectly.  They also have English-speaking staff and developers, so they are truly multi-lingual.

    It's at least worth a look...

    It has potential to be a pritty good f2p game. There's lots that they need to fix/work out but i say a couple months from now if the population picks up and they fix the lag issues and twink some of the gameplay mechanics  it could be quite an enjoyable game.

    to me its really good graphics, gameplay(for a free game) and as far as community goes...I have no idea how to say anything about that because all of the community is spanlish and not english...so I have a tough time with other players lol but the game is good but low pop also.

    Although the majority of the player´s native language is spanish lots of them know english. This is very important because communication wasn´t as bad as i thought.

    There is a little lag problem because since it was posted here hundreds of people rushed up and the server´s code isn´t totally optimized. Theres a forum were developers answer all questions and they update us and accept our ideas for implementing in the game in the future, something really uncommon to have honest with straight forward answers to our questions form DEVELOPERS themselves!! Great communication between the team and the users makes the game better day by day.

    Graphics are really nice, they were made with low polys for giving the chance of playing the game for the ones who havent got the most updated pc. The world is fantastic, great variety of creatures and items.

    You MUST try it out!

    downloaded game last night.....cause i was bored.

    Crap, didn't get to bed until 1:00am! (usually in bed by 10:30).

    It is a mix of DAOC and WOW.  Graphics are not perfect but done very nicely.  (i can even play this on my piece of crap laptop).  It looks very good on fast machine.  Yes a lot of spanish speaking ppl there, but i never had any problems comunicating (there is always someone around who can speak english).

    It is very laggy atm.  probably bacause of all the new people that are loging on.  But it is only Beta.

    Verdict:  Great game for being only in Beta and it will be F2P. 8.5

    it all most likely comes from the 9-13 year olds who looked at 4 screenshots and said "OMGWTFBBQ THIS GAME IS TEH UGLAY"...atleast thats my guess.

    This game looks really nice. I havn't tried it out yet (downloading now), but from what I've read it sounds really cool. The screensshots looked really nice, somewhat reminded a bit of DAOC, but a little more modern. Their PvP system sounds a bit like DAOC RvR as well. Seeing DAOC has gone downhill IMO, this might be the game to go with. I will try it out and let you know...

    This game is not very good at all. Ok, it's beta and it's free, but the graphics are REALLY glitching. It feels like a game from 199x to me, nothing impressive at all. I wont go on and try it out, the looks were enough to scareme away. Also the characters look so damn ugly it's not even funny, god I couldn't imagine me playing ANY of the different races. I guess it's back to the search for a new game

    Just downloaded it, made a character and played for about an hour. The character textures are horrifically simple...the enviromental graphics are on par with a game like Archlord...good thing it's free.

    I've been playing this game for a few days now and yes the graphics could be a lot better, also there are a few bugs etc etc....

    It's still in beta though and i'ts free!

    I must say in it's defence though the more i've played it the more i'm enjoying it....interesting quests, friendly community and i have to say it's becoming quite addictive. So to all of you out there that judge a game by it's graphics and play it for no more than an hour then decide it's crap,.....Have another go, I did'nt think much of it at first, give it a few hours play......You might change your mind. I did!

    Eh.. I was not too optimistic about the game from the start.. but I thought I'd give it a shot.. then I saw the forum was all spanish and I cancelled the download.. any game which can't have a english forum isn't enough for me.. Simply because it's so damn rude(specially since the official site was in english).

    I say it is a really good game for being free. There are problems though but over all i think its a great game if you dont want to have to pay $60 and then some  each month...... like WoW :( or other games. So if you want a really good gae just go out and buy one, but if you want a free one play this one. Maybe you can get into an english group if you ask around on the game.

    So... What's so special about this game? Honestly, that's great it's free but... terrible graphics and... and what? What does this game have that's special? Because honestly, I'm tired of pure grind/quest mmos. I want something that has a bit more bite, like Vanguard. If it's another stride-to-grind mmo... I don't see any reason to play THIS particular ugly one instead of some of the other ones.

    No, as of now I'm not playing ANY mmo. Vanguard is just something, while just a "grind" as you say, that atleast does it differently than other mmos have been doing for years. Before you even mildly flame my post by saying I didn't do any research, keep in mind I was just giving an example of something atleast trying to be different- next time be useful and answer the question which I asked.



    Which was, again, "What makes this game so special?"

    give ANY unique features, I was just curious.

    Many of you make opinions without testing the RvR feature... just give it time, graphics are not a problem, they aren't the best ones, but when you reach a fight between realms (like I do, and it's an interesting point, they are always different, in different places) you will say  "I've never seen this before" because you will have lots of fun, more than in other MMORPG... it's great to gather some unknown people and make a team for blasting a different realm group... that is leveling, but waiting for you!!

    It's clear that a lot of -15 years old are claiming how a good game should be, but they don't see the whole picture, nor they have the patience that involves playing a MMORPG, they should play some crappy FPS and they will be amused

    You just have to try things by yourself, most of the reviews (user reviews) are just a first false impression and can't be taken seriously.

    This game (Regnum Online) is far better than a lot of the Free games available, gameplay and character handling are the best out there (WASD, not that crappy clicking system).

    So, give it a try, pass through the first levels, engage with the community... It's worth a try.
