Nice that it's available for download, and I hope that'll be from day 1. While it might piss off some retailers, cutting into their share, there are simply a lot of people who don't live close enough to a store to buy the game easily, or they can't order online (or can't afford to).
Yes, the direct dowanload, is basically the only choice for me. Unless the box happens to include something really interesting, aside from the box art, like say a limited edition miniature.
So are we going to see a host of replies saying, "EA are touching this? Then I refuse to have anything else to do with this vaporware!"?
Cool cool... NOW! give me the game! >_<
------------------------------
If you do they're pretty ignorant replies. Considering EA has the best distribution tactics in the world, this is nothing but a good thing.

I live to fight, and fight to live.
Personally , i wished they would drop the GOA .
In games like this i dislike the EU / NA / pacific server versions / servers. (I don't mind servers in different places just restricted acess).
Ps if you live in Europe do yourself a favor and get yourself a copy of a NA version as those are taken care of BY MYTHIC. Unless they are not going the route of DAOC , but everything points to the fact that they are. But beyond that if its avaible for Digital download then you can get whatever version you want easly.

"download through EA's digital distribution channel"
For the love of god, i hope they don't mean EA Link.
I do not think EA have another digital distribution channel And now that GOA signed the distribution contract, i doubt they can make the on line sell by themselves.

I got BF2142 through EA Link and it worked like a charm.
Easy interface and good download speeds.
QFT, if Goa are hosting the servers in WAR. You can bet your sister they're going to make a cock up of it, just like they did with daoc.
