i personally would rather just go to their site and them have their own forums /sigh, but since they don't wanna do that i was wondering where the best place to go would be...a place without viruses and such, not saying they would have that but honestly i hate going to fansites...

Yes, I would also like to know since Mythic will not host official forums -- which is fine by me. They will have the Warhammer Herald site and, like the Camelot Herald site, I found it to be one of the best game info sites.
Probably, at some point, one of the fansites will become the Unofficial Official Message Boards.
Which one that is ... or will be ... I would like to know.
(Because, honestly, it certainly won't be THIS website ... ... for reasons I do not care to list.)

The best is probably Warhammer Alliance. Good moderation team and a high quality of members most of the time. It usually links to information posted by other fansites and stuff as well, so it is good for finding information.
Only-WAR and WAR-RvR are good as well though.
Warhammer Alliance is the most active forum, i wish it was VN boards tho, its always fun there
thanks for the info, yeah i just checked out the warhammer alliance site, pretty nice...i never played any other mythic game so i didnt know about the herald deal...that sounds cool.

Personally, I only use forums extensively for games that are pre-release. Post-release, I have little use for them. I am too busy playing the game, for one!
Pre-release seems to have better and more interesting discussions, while post-release is often a massive flamefest with people crying left, right, and centre, and bragging about how much they "pwn" people. I think, among other reasons, this is because the demographic shifts - pre-release people tend to not be impatient children, but real fans of the game who want to really talk about it. Post-release is often, "ZOMG, this is overpowered/underpowered!" This is especially true on official forums.
In addition, pre-release is mostly about dreaming and speculating, which I enjoy, while release essentially neuters that endeavour, leaving people to, as I said, cry for nerfs/buffs.
Anyway, once this game releases, I will be using my guild's semi-private forums and relying on the Warhammer Herald (which should contain virtually all official information) for most of my WAR-related reading - I might browse the news pages of some Warhammer sites, too, just for anything missed. But, spend lots of time on public forums like this one or any other? Likely not.
P.S. One thing I do find forums useful for are the rare threads that discuss strategy and tactics for classes and such, which tend to get stickied and are usually in FAQ form. I might find myself looking at a couple of those for my chosen class.
Warhammer alliance and Only-war have the biggest community. But i like War-rvr.net the best.

That's certainly my favorite site for getting info.
