So yeah, no new threads have been made here in a while so I figured I'd give everyone something to chew on that doesn't go to the main site.
So yeah you guys can say what you think about it.
Personally.... there's too much AO floating around for my liking. From the attack timer bar in your face in the middle of the screen to the foot slide that is still very prevalent.
I want to sit down with the animators and explain to them that it's important for the character to make contact with the ground while running/turning/attacking.
I'm sure you guys will enjoy it. It looks like it's making some progress. At least this is PvP footage.
And the shrubbery and ground looks really nice.

An attack timing bar? I dont care where the bar is on the screen, its bad. You should be able to look at your character to see what your character is doing; not look at a bar, especialy when a game has this level of detail.
And I hate to nipick but I coulda sworn the devs siad something about how stealth was an in-the-shadows kind of thing, and not a press-button-turn-invisible kind of thing. Guess thats changed.
I believe that was forum speculation and no official word from devs. Also, attack bar will not matter for players like you. You will likely be able to hide that bar, and the better players won't need to watch it anyways, and they will slaughter the less experienced player who watches it all the time.

Thats a relief at least, as long as I can hide it. Could it be that its just a placeholder they put in just for this demonstration at Leipzig? In any case, as long as the game takes place IN the game and not the UI I'll be happy.
Just so you can see how quickly you're attacking.
They definitely need to do something about the run speed though. That assassin looked reallllly funny running like he was with no momentum building up what soever just either stopped or sprinting. I enjoy the momentum buildup. It makes the character have more weight and feel more lifelike.

Wow... you aren't kidding about the skating. I don't think I've ever seen a game with skating that bad. Well, other than AO was at release, heh.
No wonder they pushed the release back. That would not have been pretty. Of course... they only pushed it back because the 'combat system was hard for newbies to get into' right? ...right?
Agreed on the progress bar... why they even left that in makes no sense. They should have had it disabled by default. Or moved someplace else on the screen. Putting it over the character like that is just sloppy and unprofessional.

Hmm... that was not fun to see. Skating, hitting in the air... running around looking like hes about to crap his pants. Can assassins turn totally invisible? Or just a little hard to see?
The hand! When he runs only the lower part of the hand is moving, hope they do something about it. Towards the end when the player and the npc fight i saw both of them slash pass each other with blood flying out, very samurai, very nice..... its not a bug right?

What he means is you just said wow basically, and didn't give reason. You said they need to go to work but didn't say why so it wasn't really constructive which makes it look like a troll post instead of an informative one. Had you posted the reason for your thought it would be a different story. That would be like me heading over to your WAR board and posting "this sucks..." and never giving a reason, I would just look like a troll.
