I played this game for several hours, and unfortunately couldn't find anyone who could speak English, anyway, my mini review: (been an MMO'er for 10+ years)
Loved: WASD. Finally, a free, non-asian point-click to move game. How anyone ever thought clicking on the ground to move was and IS a good idea, in addition to targeting monsters, npc's, etc, well, should be lined up and shot.
Can play at 1600x1200. Unlike 2 new Asian games both set at a max of 1024x768 (and they are in beta - They should have come out 6+ years ago!)
Liked: Overall gameplay, and numerous quests.
Didn't like: VERY low mana for a mage, and needing to rest after each battle (Level 6 now). Lots of easy to find, obvious bugs in the quest text (parsing errors, garbage in text, etc), at least in the English version. Long casting delays (not from lag, but by design). Graphics could have been better, boring looking characters, fairly dull landscapes.
Hated: Actually, I'll copy the resting after every battle here, too. With the best equipment I could afford, and doing all the quests, upgrading my skills, etc, I could only manage to take out green monsters (very easy level), and at most 2 in a row before having to sit and rest. This killed all momentum of the game for me. I was in a couple groups, and it was no different. A few spells and my mana would be gone. At level 6 I have less than 300 mana, and I have 2 spells that are 100 mana each. Brilliant design there! The main damage spell is 50 mana, so you can see it drops to 0 pretty quick. Regen-ing while resting thankfully doesn't take long, but having to do it all the time is a major annoyance. I watched other players, of different classes, and they were resting between each battle as well...zzzzz I doubt they'll change this, so I guess I won't last long with this game.

The first 10 lvls of each class are somehow difficult and unadjusted, but this is on purpose, when you reach lvl 10 you may choose sub-class and there your mana and skills will be useful... just be patient!
EDIT: There are english clans (guilds) in every three realms, you just have to ask someone to get you in them (there's always a spanish speaking english round there) or just ask it in spanish "No hablo español, quiero un clan en ingles para ayuda a jugar" (I don't speak spanish, I want an english clan for playing help)
I've been playing for a few days now, got up to lvl 17 and I thought I'd throw my 2 cents in.
First , the games had allot of work done in the last few months, (it's kinda a semi-beta imo) There are allot more players now, over 100,000 and many that speak English. I for example am in a Clan/guild with almost 80 members, all English speakers. Also, in my experience, when partying with some Spanish speakers there has always been at least one that speaks enough English to get by. It's not hard to learn a few words like "Help, Heal, Run, Wait, Go to town" etc... anyways.
The resting between fights is abit of a pain, but I never really liked games where you just stock up on 300 healing pots and go to war ... It isn't nearly as annoying once you reach lvl 10 anyway. The game actually requires a little bit of strategy, which is a good thing when compared to the mindless point 'n click games that are clogging up the web right now.
Speaking of which, w a s d is the BEST, I totally agree that "clicking on the ground to move" is retarded. I want to move my char with my left hand and use my right to search out enemies, look around etc... much more convenient/. :d
Graphics are pretty good for a mmorpg anyways.... not animeish which is a good thing! lol They won't compare with Guild Wars for example, but (at max high settings) they are good enough. I would like to see more character details... but I might have been spoiled by Oblivion....
The Community is Friendly: By this I mean that when I first started, there were about 10 of us in the Nub area and 5 of them greeted me personally, even if it's in spanish, that is a nice feeling... something that never ever came close to happening to me in oh say WOW for example. I've played for maybe 20 hrs and I have only met 1 other player that annoyed me enough to wish they'd fall of a bridge... pretty good for an online game. Also, as far as I've noticed the general feeling of the game is far more polite then most; not much insulting/swearing/txtspk etc.... (i do know my spanish swear words at least lol).
Ok, I've rambled on enough, but to sum it up:
Try this game out - it has a feel to it that I really like, so if you give it a chance, stick with it a few lvls at least to meet some of the friendly players and learn the intricacies of the game, and I think you might come to like it as well.
I tested it and it really caught me!
I reached lvl 22 with my marksman, though it's a little difficult to lvl I had help of other players and started to level faster, and doing quests I got some extra XP to get to this level. Community is great, they help whenever you have a problem and there is a lot of english players even being an argentinian game. I managed to get to a skirmish between realms and had lots of fun, the enemy had to reconquer it's fort and we were trying them not to get close to it. the skirmish lasted about 2 hours! I like this game a lot, first I found it slow at the beggining, but I don't regret continuing it because found a reason to pass through the first part. I totally reccommend it!
im giving it ago.. since im burnt out on wow, and dont feel like monthly payments.
I just hope the servers arent like in italy or something, cuz im in the us. I know it started out a spanish version only?
Hi!
Server is in Sweden, that is maybe not good for you but give it a try!
Ask me whatever you need, good luck with the game!
The language of the launcher changes i think after the patch up so you wont have a problem with that and ingame it is english language.
I only ever found one english speaking person on this game.
Nope, In the three Realms there are several English Clans:
Alsius:
The Thugsters, Shadows of Death, P E R L, Flame of Valhalla
Ignis:
The Darkside of Ignis, The Chosen Ones of the Dark, The Sand
Syrtis:
Guardians of Power, The Inquisition
Just ask for them in-game and you'll be redirected to some person inside the clan. And remember, seek for help during the first 10 levels, they are just a phase, best things come after that!
