I've been following recent events in Entropia and all is not well, talking with a RL friend who still plays I decided to investigate further, It seems that of late players have not been happy with recent events within the "all flowers, sunny days and gingerbread men" world of Entropia forum. A few things have rocked this community -of late, one of the main issues being a convicted peodophile being found to be one of the high ranking players within EU for further information check this link - http://www.entropiareality.com/forum/showthread.php?t=176
Now as this news broke Entropia Forum tried to hide this information from the playerbase, creating a great divide amongst the forum community. Many members were banned trying to make others aware of the potential dangers to other younger players that this man could be, and so many members of the EF community started to migrate to the free-speech forum entropiareality.com.
As this was occuring yet another scandal broke loose upon Entropia Forum - it was rumoured that Neomaven (owner of EF) had purchased a high ranking avatar known as "Devine Vixen Incarnate", and yet again dissension struck EF. People asking about this issue (which by mindarks own EULA is a bannable offense) on EF were immediatly banned to protect the owners ass, even muttering the word "Neovixen " in a post (a reference to Neo from Neomaven the forum owner and Vixen the accused 2nd avatar) resulted in immediate bans. This even further has caused a divide in the community. For further information check this link -

As a result of this, yet more players began to register at the new fansite, over the last 2 weeks over 300 have joined Entropiareality.com including old and respected members of EF. Members of Entropiareality decided to use ingame advertisements to promote the new forward thinking, low moderated site. This created the latest scandal which is now breaking, Trinketsoul placed an advertisement ingame to attract more members..... this was the result A ban from the game by Mindark-

Members were banned over various forum rule-breaking protests about this situation The man in question no longer participates in EU, so it was pointed out by the EF (not an official EU forum, but a privately-run fan forum) admin that posting real life news about ex-EU participants is neither consistent with the goals nor rules of the forum. I find it hard to disagree with that. Pedophilia is a very emotional topic, and people got emotional over it and did and said some irrational things, which precipitated somewhat of a crisis.
The third event mentioned is purely conjecture. Said avatar posted personal attacks in an in-game advertisement previously, which brought a temporary ban from the game. He has since been re-banned, but the ad for the alternative fan forum was not cited as the reason.
EU tends to catalyze opinions: people are either very into it or very hateful of it and everything to do with it (sometimes both within a few minutes ). I think that's due in large part to the real cash economy -- you put real money gains and losses into a game and it's bound to cause some feelings. Bear this in mind whenever reading anything about it or its "fans": it's a very polarized bunch.
wow and the attacks against that forum spead here lol
so what the guy possibly owns to avas, a GREY area in EU and 90% of the players dont care, a few who have an unnatural hatred towards the no.1 society (the owner of the forum is part of this soc) and like to pretend that they are "whiter than white" while mudslanging like you would not belive.
as for the pedo thing, very worrying but since EU has an average age of 30 not as big a deal as in some other games like wow where the age is WELL lower - however its something that whole MMORPG community as a whole is going to have to address at some point.
saddended to see internal EU hatred and squables starting to spill outside the community.
and im sure this post was done in no way to create more new member at the 'outcast' forum lol
