I have played much mmorpg's like WoW - Sword of the new world - EQ + EQ2 - ArchLord - RF Online - Guild Wars - LOTRO - Silkroad - Final Fantasy XI and much of unknown companys .. all of them have some great things .. but there is no mmorpg wich could satisfy my own fantasy .. I know much people who feels like me .. so we created our " own mmorpg [idea] " .. we created our own skillz / chars / monsters and much more ... I would say if this mmorpg will be set up on the market it will be greatest ever
we tryed to send our idea to some cool comanys - lol they said it's illegal to take things from people who do not work there .. i just want that somebody read it .. maybe it's really good .. don't need money for our idea ^^ maybe u guys think that i'm a idiot maybe u're right ^^
i'm waiting for gamez like AoC and Aion .. hope that they can satisfy my fantasy ^^ if someone of u guys is playin a game wich is not listed here in my post and if u think this game u play is great or the best game ever .. please post it here! maybe this one can satisfy my fantasy. thanks for reading this text

I voted no because I have my hopes up for Age of Conan and if that fails then I guess that I will have to wait for EverQuest III if that ever sees the light of day.
I chose "I found it" but I have to tell you it's not so simple..
I am talking about Star Wars Galaxies. The problem is.. It was the perfect MMO until SOE decided to slowly but steadily destroy it with the CU and to finish it off, with the NGE patch.
When SWG was released I had a blast. Okay, I am a Star Wars fan, but this game was great even for people who didn't like the story that much. The community was the best I've ever witnessed. It wasn't about quests and leveling, everyone was free to do what they wanted to do. There were almost infinite options of skill builds since you could mix professions like tailor and marksman just fine for example.
Well, there are enough threads about the good ol' SWG times in the SWG veteran refuge here, so I won't discuss it any further. I do however wish there was another MMO that would allow me to relive the experience I had.
I feel the same way, and I have tried all the names that you have mentioned and enjoyed parts of each of them. Right now I'm biding my time til more games come so I can hopefully find the game that might just hook me.
thx for ur post (also for all the other posts) u said the had decided to destroy it that's horrible .. but i give it a chance i read much of Star Wars Galixies and it sounds pretty cool

once youve played pre-cu ..... you cant play NGE, like dating a chick a awsome hawt perfect chick one year. Then when you go out of town for a week or two and come back to a slutty used emo chick.......... or something like that
Playing: EVE Online
Favorite MMOs: WoW, SWG Pre-cu, Lineage 2, UO, EQ, EVE online
Looking forward to: Archeage, Kingdom Under Fire 2

I disagree, it may have been perfect for you, but it wasn't for me. I found it pretty boring, and it lacked content. After playing the game pre-CU and playing Eve online, I realize I don't like sandbox style games.
I don't think any MMO will ever completely satisfy me, at best I can squeeze a couple years of entertainment out of it.
i actually meant my post for the people who liked pre-cu ...... but yeah everyone has their own opinions

You know, when you use the words satify and fantasy in the same sentence, it tends to sound dirty.
But excluding the wording, I agree, often times I can have more fun contemplating about what could be rather than actually playing something. Maybe it is because I use to play free-form RPGs, which were all about making up a story with other people, governed only by the laws of common sense.
Don't you worry little buddy. You're dealing with a man of honor. However, honor requires a higher percentage of profit
Second Life could satisfy many a lonely gamer's fantasies.
