navy question

in Pirates of the Burning Sea

i was just wondering if you join the navy will it have ranks like captain, admiral, etc. or will you just start as a captain and stay as that

    There will also be various uniform components unlocked as you go up in rank.  So you can visit the tailor shop and get yourself a progressively fancier coat to wear as you rise through the naval career.  There will be unlockables for other careers as well, but the navy ones are the most obvious.
