As most of us have not got into the beta i know this is not the final desision people will make , i myself am not sure but i have narrowed it down to probably british , but we will see.
alot of people seem to be looking to play the spanish , but personaly i would rather fly the flag of the country i live and was born in.

WOW... i didn't know British and Spanish were so popular for ship battles.. hehe... Me and my pop play this if we do.. definitally British.

I still think British will be best, But i like that armored ship the Spanish get.. *shrug* i might just randomly pick...

Reason why i chose British , is that i am afraid french and spanish will have (in europe) to much foreign language guilds (like french and spanish) and this will be quite inconvinient for me...
Most people will be pirates cause they are the only ones that can steal ships....

First time i heard of this game, I thought EVERYONE would be a pirate. hehe i was WRRRROOONG.
But i don't read much books either so You're prolly right. :P
I think I'll two 'toons. One British and one Pirate that way if I want to play nice I can and in those day that I just want to kill everybody and blow stuff up, I can too.
I was browsing the FLS forums about "What side are you going to pick." Popular opinion seems to be that the French will be short handed. However, according to somebody (which means nothing), larger gaming website polls seems to have all four nations relatively close, with the French slightly behind.
On another note, if the French are behind, some people will play them for the sheer fact that they do not want to play a pirate with the J4ck Sparrr0ws, of the world. Also, people dont want to be on the zerg side.

Probably go brits, since i have a habit of doing that in any game that offers you that choice of nationality
Although after a while ill probably go for whatever nation is least populated, usually makes pvp more interesting. Hopefully we can only have one character per server, or SRS ( single race per server guess it would be nationality in this game ;p) should make choosing sides more significant
Apparently they're looking at giving everyone two characters per server, however if you have two one must be a pirate. This is probably because they're concerned about everyone going pirate at first then some changing their minds later. Also it seems there will be ten lots per account to combat gold sellers and players trying to create an inter server monopoly on the economy.
