Since WoTLK is coming out around the same time as WAR, Which will have a better success? will people stick to there level 70 toons or start over completley from scratch?

I like WoW alot but the PvP is lacking for me....no purpose to the madness. Will be going to Warhammer but will keep my WoW account until I'm sure.

I'll have to wait to see actual reviews of WaR (or hopefully get beta spot by then). I won't plan on moving to any mmorpg from WoW until I "know" im heading to a good game. Been burnt to many times while play EQ and WOW.

If we talking pretty good quality from WaR, from what I read, I would switch to WaR simply because I love true Realm vs Realm.

Unless Mythic really drops the ball, I am planning on moving to WAR when it releases.

I have had my fun in WoW, but it is getting old.

    Currently playing:
LOTRO & WoW (not much WoW though because Mines of Moria rocks!!!!)

    Looking Foward too:
Bioware games (Dragon Age & Star Wars The Old Republic)

Even though im not a huge fan of WAR I do want to play it, and will most definately try it out. I will however get Wotlk, simply because I like Northrend and something about frozen places with snow suck me in, I also like the quests, you meet people and they are fun. Not a huge fan of the raiding system but I do want to see what the explansion has to offer. I do plan on trying out WAR at a future time though, no sense in getting it right away.

Even if WAR is a great success it won't kill WoW.  9 million people aren't just going to suddenly switch games.  And still WAR might go the way of Vanguard/LOTRO/D&D and just suck completely.

Prior to the announce of WoTLK i was more excited for WAR.  But now... i think i'd rather go with wotlk.  Exploring northrend?  A new class?  WORLD PVP ZONE?(you may think it a gimmick but if people go to it, it'll be exactly what we wanted in world pvp, a place to just go and fight without queues or instancing)

WAR on the other hand?  Looks great, but i have a friend in beta whos feeding me information about the game. i believe one of his comments was "It's like a better daoc, but if you put daoc up against wow these days wow wins.  And right now that feels the same with war."  I loved daoc so i was sorta excited about this, but on the other hand is that really going to be successful for a new game?

Honestly i am excited for both.  Just i can physically put my finger on wow, and say this stuff looks really interesting, and amazing, and i can imagine it.

War is still a mystery to me, i don't know how it plays, i don't know how people will behave, how quests will stack, and how smooth progression will feel.  So if WoTLK comes out first... i'm going to get it without hesitation, and then put off WAR untill im ready.  If WAR comes out first then i'll probably research it, through videos, opinions, and all the other reviews and reports on the game.  I'll probably buy it, but if wotlk is close enough and the reception isn't positive enough, i'll just wait.
