Best DPS/Damage Dealer?

As I'm trying to get started I need to ask which is the best Thestran DPS/Damage Dealer. My buddies are playing mainly Tank-warriors and Clerics and i would like to fit into the group being another class.

prob a bard
med, slow mobs down, heal song, and good dps
if you will always be grouping, go the bard
Hands down damage, I'd probably go with sorceror. But bards are great dps and overall utility I think, just judging from my friends who play those classes.

Depends on what DPS type you like best.
Sorcerers are great if you like the caster role.
Bards are great utility and their songs really up the damage of the group as a whole. Respectable DPS as well.
Rangers do insane amounts of damage with a good bow and a pair of good weapons.
Rogues and monks are suppose to be the pure melee damage kings with rogues being first and monks a close second.
