Allies beat Horde: Question of graphics of the models??

The polls say this: Players like Allies more (2-1) than Horde guys.. and I would know why.
I personally think that graphic models of Horde guys are too... punkies!?... without the "evil aura" that they should have.
Is that the reason for you? Remember that the best design, Night Elves, has the bigger % of players that want play them.
Blizzard have to do chancges for attract palyers to the "ugly" side...

The horde isn't evil that's why.
The alliance are the bad guys, ever play WC3? Blargh, hard to like the alliance races after that =P
The orcs and taurens got some serious honor that earns my respect any day of the week.
In Warcraft there is no evil race... Except the undead... Though I'll let you find out on your own WHY the horde let them join their faction.

The background is clear to me, but I simply was saying that people see more attractive the Allies (better design in general) that the Horde. And this could unbalance the population between both factions.
And that would be "bad" for gameplay, more still in PVP Realms
There are a lot of people who complain that the horde isn't 'pretty' enough, and that it will make female gamers shy away from playing that faction.
Personaly I think they need to get their ass off the fence and make the horde MORE bad ass and less 'pretty'. There's 2 types of people out there, those that want the pretty boy look, and those that want the bad ass, scared up, gnarled grizzled warrior look.
Also not ALL women are into playing the 'pretty' races. However if they keep trying to make orcs-trolls-taruen sexualy appealing to humans (which would be like trying to make a pig look sexualy attractive... just ain't gonna happen, as members of the human race we geneticaly find other HUMANS attractive, and since Night elves are basicaly just humans with pointy ears....) so as I was saying, if they keep trying to make the horde more attractive, they still won't get people who want to play the attractive races to play the horde, but they'll be dissapointing the people that want to play the bad ass type character.
There's a lot of people out there who like to play the hero type, the goody goody, the pretty boy. Well trust me, there's those of us out there who want to be the underdog. For every 'good' player out there, there's a 'bad' one. I hope that helps.
The horde isn't evil though, just more blunt. The honor the horde has though... Damn..

There are several reasons for this. First, alliance land and races were created FIRST. As such they have been familiar to players a lot more. Second, horde lands are still very incomplete and make leveling there far more difficult than it is for alliance. Blizzard has stated that they will even out the lands very soon so both sides are properly balanced.

These things tend to balance themselves out pretty well after awhile.
Sure, there will be TONS of first day Night Elves running around. What happens after a bit is people realize thier inner Orc and switch to the "bad boy" side. Or, people just get tired of the over crowded NE newbie area and switch for a less crowded play field.
Some people choose based on a perception that the alliance are the "good" guys, much like the perception that America is always the "good" guy. They have to satisfy thier inner Paladin
I plan on having a main Dwarven warrior and an alt Human Paladin or Priest, but that's because my guild voted to be an alliance guild. I will have an Orc and a Tauren Shaman though ... cuz deep down I am a bad boy
Knowing my tendancy to not be able to stick with one character, I will probably have one of each race

Its the look I don't realyl like the tribial/savage look of it all. Undead, ugh they are unsightly, with their bones exposed plus they have little mount choice (alright nigthmares for warlocks and skeltetons for everyone else). I agree its the models, I think the horde could use a little more models for the undead horses and I think that they could use a makeover!

Most likely Ill have an alliance char and a horde char on the same server (if they allow it... so far they do) probabaly more then one of each depending on how fast I lvl and how fun/interesting the current class/race im playing is....as the above posters mentioned there are more alliance now then horde cuz the alliance lands were formed first in the first beta phase and so its only fitting that they have more. But once they go into open beta and they balance out the horde and alliance lands youll see more people joining the horde.
And yes the horde char models are FUGLY!!! only good looking models are the undead IMO

In my eyes, Trolls and Orcs look way better than Night Elves and Humans. I think it is because when I was younger and was playing pen and paper RPG's, I burnt myself out on the whole "I am an Elf and I will kill you with my bow." thing. And being a human in real life, I don't want to RP one as much as I would like to be something foreign and exotic. Thus I want to become a Troll or an Orc. This is not to say I will never play the Human and Night Elf race, just that those races won't be my primary few races.
I used to want to be a Night Elf until I saw some of the polls floating around. With all the people planning to be a NighT Elf, no matter what people do, they will never be different. Everyone will have a clone, a copy. Trolls are basically an evil version of an elf. The way they are physically built, I think. So perhaps that is why I am planning on a Troll for my primary race. Hey, maybe one day people will be tired of being the same and disperse evenly among the races.

some people want different things, cant please everyone. Just make the orcs look like orcs and the humans look like humans, all that needs to be done.

It's not important to me that the orcs be "pretty." I do think that it is important that the sexes be distinguishable though. I would like to be able to tell the difference between he and she orcs/tauren.
Elves will of course be the most played race. It logically follows that some of the worst and best players will be night elves. I think though that you will see a higher concentration of good(in more than one sense) players in the more obscure races.
I plan on playing Undead and Gnome. I tend to stay away from elves whenever possible. There is just something a little too...elfy about them.
