Hello Vanguard players of the forum
I decided to make this thread as my genuine interest of the game. I would appreciate if everyone could take part rather than just looking.
Ok, what do i want you to do you ask?
First off all, upload a picture of your character, and underneath write its race, class, level, and what you like most and dislike most about it .
I would start, but i dont have an account .

Lol!
Come on guys, surely someone plays :P ... Dont be shie!
Nothing but silence....................
When I used to play I had a High Elf Cleric. She reached level 19. One of my guildies made her a really big 2 handed Hammer and she was an excellent healer. I really liked the way clerics were implemented in this game becouse of the fact that they really used their Hammer or Mace for their spells. She had a horse and a plot for her house.
Sadly after that I realized I doesn't wanted to play VG in this condition and I closed my account. I think I will be back after a year or two.
Sorry but i dont have any screenshots.
I am currently playing VG atm. I have a lvl 37 Dwarf Cleric called Phuse on Gelenia. Cleric is the most fun to play imo as its nothing like any other healer ive played in other mmo's!
my 2 cents
Currently playing : Darkfall
Character name : Aeola Anara
Played: Almost every P2P MMO you can get your hands on, notably:
Daoc, SWG, LOTRO, WAR, AoC + Dozens more
Well my account has lapsed, but when I was on, I had an elven ranger.
All I want is the truth

Harvesting as a level 12 BM is "quite challenging", but one of the things that is quite nice in Vanguard is that invisibility is exactly that - invisibility. Things either see you, or they do not, regardless of level.
Being able to raise crafting without gathering resources is good too, although the reality is that crafting is a tad repetitive due to a relative lack of quests. I do not like that they shifted from having flying mounts based on any class to just based on adventuring level, hopefully that will change. Being able to learn the different continental style clothing is great, the absence of a "preview" of what you are looking to make or any useful organisation of recipies is not.
Vanguard does have a lot of potential, it always did. But its launch was truely horrid, and it has a long way to go yet to be at the standard of a top-line 21st century MMORPG. I keep waiting for SoE to "balance" the classes more or "NGE" it...
And thank you everyone for their feedback!
I've been playing a little more then a week, right now I am just hit level 10 with a Dwarf Paladin, It actually took a bit because I also got to level 5 in diplomacy. All in all, its a pretty typical of what you would expect from the race / class combo. The diplomacy is really different and I like it. Now that I hit 10 with one, I'm going to switch over to one of the little fox guys on the Kojon continent and try out a Psionist. I might try out something else after that and then stick with the one I like best of the three. Each of my daughters have a Gnome and a Lesser giant. No idea how that is going, I've been to busy trying to make everyone happy with getting decent performance.
It took me about a week of fooling around with the settings and files to finally get the game running smooth on two different comps. Way more then a customer should have to spend fiddling around in files and such. (my older lesser comp actually runs the game better then my newer one which just frustrates the heck out of me because it just doesn't made sense)
EDIT
My Raki, I just made him today and have fooled around with him a bit, Psionist are a little different. I usually don't play a lot of casters so its good fun. To bad they didn't put tails on these guys.

I have a 22 female woodelf wolf shaman (23 outfitter), a 25 female kojan human disciple (23 artificer) and a 25 male vulmane bear shaman (22 blacksmith). I dislike nothing on my races or classes.
I made this trio to be self suffcient. All wear medium armour and the blacksmith can make the weapons. Since yesterday i am able to build sloops without any help. I harvest all i need myself. I am not into diplomacy yet, but i will try it out later. Its not like i have nothing to do. I adventure also, but its not my main goal. Still two of those three have a full HL set of armour and weapon.
My main is a male lvl 29 Wood Elf Ranger on Sartok.

Raki and Vulmane may yet get their tails, it was apparently planned but one of those things that just never happened. Once SoE get things together more (maybe that should be "if"?) then hopefully that will change. A directly related thing that has always bugged me is number of hairstyle options for humans and elves - they have nearly infinite variety of combinations on the wide array of sliders, then ... 4 hairstyles. Just one of those things that never made the cut I suppose, but hopefully that will be attended to in due course.
In early beta there was a huge variety of hairstyles availible. I really don't understand why they cut it down to 4.
Was at the bottom, and now the top
