Passed this to a few friends of mine.
You have to have a forum account to register for the beta (and it is instant). If you dont have a forum account, you cant register with a new one. Great way to reward the GnH fanbois I suppose.

Apparently it only works for people that actually had forum account beforehand
Apperantly, it doesn't, either :P I'm getting the same thing saying my account can't be found, but I log in with my account, no problem.
Creation date: 7/12/06 I've been a member awhile.
Also, apperantly my Comic-Con beta key came and went without even an e-mail. This is disapointing
does it say for you "account name not found in datatbase"?

I've been signed up for the beta /registered on the boards for quite some time now. I recieved my keycode immediately . I went ahead and made an account for my husband and it wont let him get a keycode. If you notice however, it asks for your email address as of 7/23....
Im going to assume with that-- if you didnt have an account prior to that date. You wont get it. Thats just an assumption. I'll keep trying on his though and hope.
You might find some help on the GnH forums. Usually in betas, there's a beta forum section, should probably ask there.

When I originally tried to do this I first create an account but kept getting an error message that my Public name didn't match. Then I realized I had already set up an account last year. Once I found out the Public name on my existing account and used that, I was able to get my beta key.
I hope this makes sense.
cerra if you already have a beta invite you can send an in game pettion and ask for another beta code for your husband,Which they will send you.Hope that helps

Yes they were allowing this a couple of weeks ago to up the beta numbers and i assume it hasnt changed as I have not seen anything on the forums,simply mail and ask

I've had a forum account since last year and it worked like a charm for me, got the e-mail with the key instantly. Downloading the client as we speak.

What speed are you downloading the client at? Mine is a real slowpoke, will be taking days at this rate...
I used a generic free download accelerator/manager called gigaget or something like that and got it at 500k/s+
I got my beta code but when I click the link to download all I get is a blank webpage saying 'page cannot be found'. Is anybody else getting that or just me? Is this because theres too much traffice to this page or what? Ive sent a petition in through there site hoping that does something. Any info would help at all, please & thanks!
