heartless....but true
It is ridiculous claiming that video games influence children. For instance, if Pac-Man affected kids born in the 80's, we should by now have a bunch of teenagers who run around darkened rooms and eat pills while listening to monotonous music!

Honestly, no one knows. There are guesses all over the internet... end of Sept... end of August... next year.... They're all just guesses anyways. don't listen.
Blizzard's policy is "It's done when it's done." This is the best policy as most games these days are released way before they are done. Blizzard seems to make patches to fix minor glitches and add content whereas other developers release patches to fix major glitches. Of course, some developers just don't make patches on terribly buggy games. Moral of the lesson is, wait until it's done, don't push it.

Now those of you who knew about WoW since concept probably already know this, and those of you who don't... WoW is currently 2 years behind schedule, it's original target date was they wanted it on the shelves for x-mas 2002
.. Ok so they missed the deadline by a little. Of course Diablo 2 was also about a year behind... Thats the nice thing about using a rough estimate as your release date. Ahh well, it's "already, finally almost here"... I hope it's worth the wait.
NOTE: The last sentence is rhetorical... no need for aposing fanboys to post a response....
I have seen 3 different release dates, EB's being just one of them.

And Shepherds we shall be. For thee, my Lord, for thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee and teeming with souls shall it ever be. In nonmine Patris, et file, et Spritus Sancti.

The funny thing is that EB has WOW coming out in November.
But it has EQ2 coming out in September!
Thats strange because WOW has been in beta for months and EQ2 hasn't even started their beta yet.
