Problem with Pre-Order Security Code

Just got the pre-order box but the security code has got 19 letters/digits (not the usual 20 digits for NCSoft) , and I have problems when I try to key that into the add accounts page at my PlayNC master account. Am I doing something wrong? Is that security code for adding the game to the account, or do I use that only to get into beta (my beta client is still patching as I type this...)? Grateful for any help. Many thanks.

ok. The matter has been resolved. I called the retailer and they told me they had to refer the matter to the distributor. Initially, the distributor (speaking to me over the telephone) wanted me to jump through some hoops but to cut a long story short, they eventually agreed to call the retailer to tell them to give me a new copy of the pre-order box. Quite obviously a misprinted security code. Just popped down to the retailer and picked up the replacement security code which works a treat. Now if only the patch didn't take so long... heh.
I hope this doesn't get me into trouble.
The same thing happened to me happened to me. I was missing the last digit of my key, but I sort of figured it out.. or maybe I just got lucky. It seems to me frequently on key codes the last set of numbers repeat themselves. For example ####-#####-#####-#####-1X1X. Since I was missing the last number, it read (this not the real number, just an example), 1X1, so I added a character and changed it to 1X1X. It was accepted by the system. Of course, perhaps any number would have been accepted, I dont know.
