Is it worth it to come back to EQ?

I was wondering if it was really worth my time to come back to EQ.  If I do, I have to start new as in lvl 1.  I quit when I got up to lvl 59 with my necro, and gave the account to a buddy of mine.  I am sure there are still people that are on the server that I am playing on who'll PL me.  I stopped right after PoP was released so I am missed out in a lot of expandsions.  If I should get back into EQ, which expandsions should I get?  cos I don't wanna waste money one some of the older ones like kurnark and velious if all the raids are somewhere else now...

    Well in my opinion I would say yes...I been playing it for 3 years now...on and off....and I still love this game and still have alot of fun.....

    just this time why not start as a new class too.....try the game out...i have played all the classes and seen which ones I like....some i just don't get some I love...and some are just w.e

    I thought I saw that SOE was offering all 7 expansions of EQ for free with a 30 day trial free. 

    So it wouldn't hurt to play for free.  I found that they made a lot of improvements, but still suffer from some lopsided issues.. plus the graphics are getting old, the population in zones are thinning..  No solo capability makes this hard to find a group at the early levels.

    No solo capability.....dude I solo all the time.....till i was close to my 20's......depending the class you are soloing can be very EASY...like mages for instance.....beastlord.....druids.....

    alot of classes can solo eaqrly and higher levels...just like i said it depends the class you are and the zone your in....

    Ok, that was a generalization.  I admit you can "solo" your baby levels and teens, but after that you can forget it unless you have the balls to charm or the tools of a necro.  (Or of course have some outside help).

    I soloed into my 30's with my thief and my monk. Of course, winning the roll on a Fungi Tunic helped... ALOT.

    I've tried different classes also.  I had a lvl 52 warrior, 42 monk and a lvl 24 rogue before I quit a long with the 59 necro.  I solo from 1-59 with a only grouping during raids and maybe with another necro at the same soloing spot.  If I am gonna start again I think I would play wizard or shadow knight.

    wizzys rule and there good at quad kiting and I soloed up to 58 well and grouped with my guild in raids .

    Well...

     

    It is ''Possible'' to solo, yet, a twink is a better soloer saddly.

     

    Someone that have a big guild and raid a lot is a better soloer.

     

    To be the best soloer of the game and to even have access to the best soloing area with the best gear for a soloer, you need to raid.

     

    If you can solo and be happy with those facts, you are better then me OR you are also raiding.

    I stoped playing in May 2003... I'm praying to God that Cher (Cherrokee, 65 Rogue) and all her badasses items have not been deleted.  BUT... if she has been deleted and if I have to start over OR even if she's nakey (translation LOL  all her stuff vaped  hehe)... I still want to play.    I very much miss playing and visiting with friends.  Its a very addicting game, I do admit...  but I so enjoyed myself.  I just dont advise playing with a significant other... it has the possiblity to ruin a relationship.  image  haha

    But what the hell... if you can use the free trial... go for it, maybe that will help you decide if you want to go back for real or not...
