I want a game that has a massive world where you can ride trains and boats. the train would keep going around the different stations in the world and you would need to look on the train timetable at the station to see when it arrives. on your screen you would have a clock so you know what time it is, when its about to arrive you quickly run down and wait, the doors open and you can walk inside. the train stays at the station for 1 minute. when the train leaves the station you can talk to other players and trade them. you can look out the window and see the landscape, maybe even see people fighting monsters outside. it would be cool if there was an underwater city in a massive dome and the train goes through a see-through pipe underwater and you can see fish and the city as you arrive.
there would be a few boats that go to different islands and you would need to wait at the dock for it to arrive. you tell you friends to come and party you and wait for the boat. when it arrives you all jump on, it stays at the dock for 2 minutes waiting for everyone to get on. while its sailing through the ocean monsters jump onto the boat and attack you, your party help you kill them and some lower level players die from the attack, this would keep the noobs from getting to higher level areas until that are strong enough.
when you are a really high level there is a boat that takes you to a island full of treasure and monsters with nice exp, you get you guild and ride the boat, a massive boss monster jumps out of the water and attacks you, your guild need to try stay alive or kill the monster before you get to the island.

Fun for the first ride ... timesink during the next million. Teleports ... FTW.
I love public transport in MMOs... the boats in EQ were great during the day, and the little train in WoW was fun.
Instant teleporting is dummy down design for the ADD kids. I say teleport them out of the game.
