Changes to your RF Online Subscription

Dear Me,
Please be advised that as of 6th September 2007, you will no longer
be billed for your subscription to Codemasters Online's MMORPG, RF
Online. You will still be able to access the game though! These
changes have been made because we're making RF Online a completely
free-to-play online game in the near future.
An official announcement to the wider public will be made on the RF
Online website soon, but we wanted you to be the first to know! So
check back regularly for news and further information at:

Any users who have paid either a 3-month, 6-month or 12-month upfront
subscription that passes over the date when we change to the free to
play model will be refunded any time owed to them within 4 weeks of
the game going free to play.

I guess they finally hit the honey spot with LOTRO
Hopefully this will make updates come in faster. I think one of the reasons RF Online's updates came in so slow is because of the fact that the asian versions of the game are all running on micro transactions model.

All canceled. Waiting on Warhammer Online : Age of Reckoning.
It was scheduled to go F2P as soon as the next major content patch arrived, but they just did it early.

I never did try this game any. Question though, is it a point and click overview head type of game? Or WASD 3rd person? I'm just curious, also would you recommend it as a quaility game?(and yes I know its now free which adds to the quality factor but still...)

First: It's a Korean grindfest. If you can get past that..
To use WASD you press "h" when first logging onto your character, this toggles between mouse and keyboard mode. To use the 1-0 buttons instead of the F1-F10 buttons, you press "/" after logging onto a character. The game is extremely PvP oriented, and if you don't like PvP this definately is not a game for you.
The game is actually a relatively well made game, we've been having some problems getting updates on our version, but Codemasters and CCR seem to be working those kinks out. We're scheduled for a huge update Soon(TM).

oops i just made another one of this thread.. didnt notice there was one already up silly me... its only been up what 5mins and its already locked
F2P now? Orly?! I thought they had wanted to work something out so that they could keep the subscription play going even though the rest of the regions were going F2P. If this is the case, then I may just need to dust off the old account and start mining my ass off again.

well it didnt ask me it just activates it
I tryed to download it at file plane hers what happened. pop up screen says wait 59 mins, 10 min later says wait 52mins, 1 hours later says wait 30 min, again 10 min later the download page says the page cannot be displayed..no refresh button either... Hope you guys have better luck....

Could they have found a worse place to host the trial? Fileplanet stinks, the download says "10minute wait" but just keeps going up until "page cannot be displayed". Hopefully they send this file out to other sites, I even tried the bittorrent but thats useless without seeds.
