Any game that is on the market that have massive warfare theme? i am not talking about only 40-50 people but over 500+, beside FFXI's Besieged which usually goes around 600-800 people in besieged on level 7+ any other MMORPG beats that?

Lineage 2 has a few hundred people during a siege.
RF online gets a couple hundred during there dayly battle events. any lvl can join.
EVE's fleet fights have been known to hit in excess of 2-3k people over 1 or 2 star systems
EVE fleet fights are incedibly fun though
I once oined in a trully epic fleet battle once. It was a 1,000 v 500 v 700 fight. Initial battle lasted a few hours and the battle for the inportant system [tactically it was] lasted over a month with smaller 150 v 150 fleets fighting each other all over the place.

Maybe I am remembering wrong, so many game over the years. Wasn't there an MMO in development a few years ago where players were going to fight to control areas of land and could build keeps and form guild/cities. IIRC, there was mention of 1000/10000 areas to fight for control. It isn't AoC or WAR. Dang, I wish I had bookmarked it.
Your thinking of Darkfall. The game that will never be released. If they ever finished it it would be awsome hopefully, but I have my reservations.
My pain is constant and sharp and I do not hope for a better world for anyone, in fact I want my pain to be inflicted on others. I want no one to escape, but even after admitting this there is no catharsis, my punishment continues to elude me and I gain no deeper knowledge of myself; no new knowledge can be extracted from my telling. This confession has meant nothing
Planetside they have big battles all the time, and there is only PvP. I forgot how much people can be on one continent at once but it is pretty big.
At least we know why I can't remember this game! :P
Lineage 2 has a lot of big battles, especially during sieges where possibly 300+ or 400+ people come to fight. I have also had smaller skirmishes in Lineage 2 that had like 50+ people battling that happens every now and then and then you get PvP with groups usually everyday since it is Open PvP.

That could be it. Sounds more like it than darkfall.
Not unless you live 5 miles away from the main server or have a direct optical connection to the main server, and you must have an extremely expensive computer.
Planetside is the only game that did "Massive" correctly. When approaching the player limit, friendly players blink out of existance first, so you can see all the enemies. So if you can see a max of 64 players, then when all friendly players blink out then your in a battle of 128 players. That happened often, sometimes too often, 3 years ago.
I think WWIIONLINE didn't blink out friendlies first, I think they blinked out both enemies and friendlies proportionally. This gets you killed too much, which I did not appreciate. Im not exactly sure though.

Lineage2 has rather large castle sieges, but as far as I know that is very high level content- meaning it will take a lot of effort (grinding) to be able to participate in it. http://www.lineage2.com/
Knight Online has two massive instanced wars between the two factions twice a week. One type of war is for levels 30-50, and the other is for 50+. There is usually a different map each time, and the winning faction of the higher level war gets to invade the enemy's territory. (You can't access it otherwise). There are also castle sieges in which clans battle it out for control of a castle, which gives their faction and clan benefits etc. There is also a special PvP zone called 'Colony Zone' There are huge battles here with hundreds of people, and it is ongoing. The PvP in this game is extremely fun and engaging, the one downside now is the game is populated mainly by Turkish people. (I played this 1-2 years ago.) http://www.knightonlineworld.com/
Eve Online - some people have already mentioned this - I'll just confirmed that fleet battles can be very large, and fun.
If I think of any more - i'll edit this post. Hope this helped you

ewww no. Knight online has the worst support, horrible graphics, and is infested with hackers. i would definetly stay away from that game.

I'v never heard of any MMO server supporting nearly 1000 people in the same area at the same time.
I usually see 500-600 on my server, this is a sunday. I do not have windower...so i can't screen shot the "/sea" But graphic wise, i can't load all the players on my screen. XD

FFXI does support 700 players (max) in one zone for Beseiged.
Beseiged is where up to 700 Adventurers defend a city from one of three invading hordes of monsters.
Usually a couple hundred monsters show up, and most of the time 700 players show.
Problem is, only maybe the 20 closest players to your avatar appear on your screen, but all the monsters do.
RF Online or Lineage 2. RF Online just went F2P I believe. I played it on release and the wars were a lot of fun, although I'm not sure how much fun they are now with everyone high level (lowbies get smoked in the wars and really can't do any dmg)

The only 2 I know of where there is worthwhile mass PvP are L2 and EVE. The problem with these titles is the time sink/grind barriers. L2 having the worse of the two. I wouldn't recommend that p.o.s., RF online at all.
DAoC use to have some good mass battles way back in the day but now its just small scale group level skirmishes. Its to bad, if any game had a decent mass PvP system, it was that one. But the western gamer let it die while they chase the "holy grail" of MMO gaming.
The problem with MMO PvP is they want you to jump through to many hoops before you can really participate in anything worth doing. Play shooters if you want to actually PvP anyway and not play fantasy stats manager against other players.
If you can accept that Space Cowboy is a low budget asian made game, there is good gameplay to be had. I personally have been in battles of hundreds of players per side. Over a thousand players spread over many maps during mothership battles. Space cowboy is an asian arcade style flight mmo. Sure it has its issues but it has good gameplay and a skill element where levels do not mean as much as in most mmos.
