Group play, socialising and exploring. That's why I will play at release - there should be a decent number of people around upon immediate release and it should be fun for me. Played very briefly in closed beta - enough to know I enjoy the gameplay and not enough to be bored doing the little content I did again upon release. I'll be giving it a try. Voted 'all yes'.

    All the NOs

Wouldn't even play it for free - its a pitiful effort especially coming from someone who said other MMOs are stale...

TR brings NOTHING new to the table and actually takes many steps backwards in most areas.

I was in the beta and can tell you without a doubt that its a complete turd of a game.  The game needs an entire new direction.

The graphics look outdated and the entire premise is silly really. I would not play this game for free let alone 14.95 a month.

It's a very casual MMO.  I think it's strong point is that it feels like something you can pick up and put down whenever.  It needs a bit more work, but it seems like it will be fine by the time of its release.  People can say it's horrible or great, but I think it is just good, with a chance of being very good with time.

Personally, I wouldn't even play it for free after having spent time in the beta. That's not to say i won't be keeping my eye on it in the future.

I will not be buying or trying this game anytime soon. Maybe after 6months or so Ill try the free trial and see if things have improved. My beta time helped me make this decision.

I didn't have any plans to buy the game before beta, but after reaching level 11 in beta I definitely won't be subscribing. The game is pretty shallow overall, and doesn't provide much entertainment for me.

    ^ What he said.

I wouldn't touch it, even if it were free.

I tried the game in beta, at first i liked it, it was a nice change of pace, but quicly found out that's it's more or less the same old s_h_i_t.

Needs way more content. You can finish the game in 2 weeks max playing a decent amount.

TR is a differant game. It's about war. You are under fire almost constantly. I guess constant action is not what some people like though..they'd rather stand around and stare at half-naked elves and play with their cute phantasy toys.

COH is "constant action" and has nothing to do with elves or fantasy toys, but it's enjoyed success because of good PVE combat and an extremely deep character creation system.   TR has neither, and unless the devs add something like that to TR, it'll just be an extremely shallow, one-dimensional game that has constant but boring action.

constant action is great in a game, lots of games have it....

unfortunatly that's all this game has going for it (and imo i wouldn't give it that much) alot of us were really looking forward to this game, it's really sad. the setting is good, guns are good, they just blew it on the gameplay, quests, avatars, cloning system, well basicly they whole game part....

and i for one will take sci-fi anyday over fantasy tvm, they just all close down for some reason (at least this one the reason won't be that hard to guess).

and then there's pvp, er, wait, no there's not....

Mr. Garriott should prob sue ncsoft to get his name off this game if he ever wants to be able to work in the industry again (but maybe it's time anyway...).

I payed $5.00 for the pre-order through NCSoft, but I will not be buying the game. I don't mind eating the $5 loss, because it saved me the cost of buying the game.

The game is lacking in almost every way you can imagine. This game is Not an MMORPG. It's a Persistent Online Action Game that I feel will have little lasting appeal for MMORPG or FPS fans.

In development for over 6 years, my guess is they are just cutting their losses on a project they just couldn't make work. It's hard to fathom why it has so few features and so little content after so much time spent on the project.
