I need good DAoC informations...

in Dark Age of Camelot

Hello! 

I'm looking to gather more infos on DAoC, a good custom UI and a website to see user's and preview specs... I just started a sorc and I'm having a hard time learning how specs work, I don't wanna end up spending points in things I don't need.

Also, is it better to just quest in cats or do the regular quests?  You know, newbie stuff... newbie stuff to make me enjoy more of the game, useful stuff...

    Ok first for a good custom UI go to the VN Boards UI Boards for the updated Custom UI's myself I think that derida's ui is the best. But you have to find on to your liking. Also for good ideas on specing your class you can go to the Sorc Vn Board they will have good info about your class. The best way I think to get good xp is in the bgs but its your choice the quest in cat ids also give good xp. But nothing is better than killing ppl. Also there are another easy way to get xp the commanders quest give very good xp and some of the quest are very easy. Next whenever you reach level 50 for some good templates you could check out daoctemplates.net.

    Is there BGs for my level? i'm 7 now... how does it work? where do I go? and what about the commander quests? Thanks a lot for your time.

    You can go into Demon's Breach which is an RvR dungeon. Once you hit lvl 10 you can go into the BG.

    As far as custom UI's go I'm not quite sure with that one.  For information on specs and what you should get go to the character builder at http://daoc.catacombs.com/.  I use this every single time I play DAoC.  As far as leveling I always do the little newbie quests to get to lvl 5 then select my class.  After that I usually just hit up the battlegrounds.  RvR zones and classic zones have huge exp bonuses right now so you level really fast if you get a group in RvR.  With the sorc it all depends on what you want to do, most people use socrs for their great crowd control ability so my own personal sorc I put my points into mind twisting at first.  With my sorc I also used charm to help me solo in the burial grounds instant dungeons so I could get aurulite for some armor since I was starting fresh on Albion which is very easy as a sorc.  Hope this hopes I've been having a lot of fun with my sorc, but not as much fun as I have on my Mid characters.

    You don't have to wait for lvl10 for some BG action - The Lion's Den (Level 5-9)

    Oh well, my wiz is level 18... BGs are really addictive. My name is Thekze, you can hit me up on Gareth... I am also looking for a guild, I will play this and WAR beta at the same time :P
