starting again- fastest lvling job?

ive just ordered the game, and i have decided to start a new character, i am thinking about BRD/WHM, however i know that that combo might not still be the best. what is the FASTEST lvling combo now? is it RDM/WHM or BRD/WHM? im looking for something that gets groups very fast.
also- what server is the most crowded now a-days?

BRD/whm is fastest, but you need to relevel brd to 30.
Why not do RDM/WHM, it is a must class and they are pretty fast as well. While leveling brd doesn't necessary bring you the cash, as alot BCNM doesn't use brd and alot missions fights rather not have a brd. Also rdm have some extended solobility, unlike brd, you are a non-soloable class.

BRD without a doubt would be fastest, with RDM almost pretty much equal. Only thing is, RDM requires a lot more work than BRD in a party. But, they are both busy jobs during a party. So, whichever one you choose just strive to be good at it.

Just remember f you pick BRD, you still have to level some class to 30, then start leveling BRD. In that case RDM may be faster.

thats what im trying to figure out now, i can play alot so i figure its really down to what would make the groups go faster?
It's down to the party on what goes faster. It's more of a choice on what you would enjoy more. Would you like crippling a monster from enfeebling, while healing and refreshing a party? Or, would you like running back and forth between front and back line jobs singing songs and healing on the side while slightly enfeebling the monster? It's more of a personal preference than anything.
All the servers used to be pretty evened out. Now, can't really tell ya. I'm on Kujata, it's decently crowded is all I can say when it comes to servers.

If I had it to do all over again, I would with out a doubt go the Brd/Whm route. That was always one thing I regretted when I quit, I never got a chance to play as my Bard. I say "my Bard" because I had even quested for it, but never tried it out.
Pick the Brd/Whm combo for me!
Made a thread especially for these kinds of questions, "The definitive guide for FFXI jobs". Can take a quick look there if you want, I included a description for each job, along with a fairly accurate estimation of how often they get invites according to certain level gaps.
But yeah, brd/whm is generally the fastest job to level in-game.
