Should I buy Eye Of The North or Prophecies?

I know that there is Guild Wars Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and Eye Of The North. If I buy Eye Of The North do I get all the content of Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall or do I have to buy each game to get the content that each game offers. Also what is the release date of Guild Wars 2?

You need to buy every part of the Guild Wars campaigns separatly. But i suggest you buy only the GW: Prophecies campaign and then GW: Eye of the North which will exactly continue the story of the Prophecies campaign and you'll get the whole picture of the GW story that is realy awsome. I own all the 3 campaigns and i have played GW since the Beta but i must say i love the story of Prophecies the most. You can't immerse into the last campaign if you haven't played Prophecies because the whole story is based on the story and the charakters from the Prophecies campaign.
Ok, I have been reading and I think I will get the special edition of Eye Of The North that comes with Prophecies. Will I have to also buy Factions and Nightfall if I want all the content that Guild Wars has to offer or will i get all the content if I buy the Special Edition which comes with Prophecies and Eye Of The North.
The special edition has the original GW and EotN? Then you will need to buy Factions and Nightfall too to get all content.

You don't need to buy Factions or Nightfall, but if you want, a, to play the full storylines, or b, any form of PvP properly, or even c, both of those options, you need factions and Nightfall too
