How do you choose your character?

I am curious as to how people are picking or will pick their character in WAR...at least their main. So, I made this poll to try to nail down the thought process when it comes to picking a character, something that fascinates me, as it stresses what is important to people. People who choose race first are usually interested most in lore/aesthetics, people who choose faction first are usually interested most in the morality or balance, and people who choose class first are usually most interested in mechanics/style or power. At least in my experience.
For example, I chose my faction first (Order), then my race (Human), and then my class (Knight of the Blazing Sun), in that order.
Others may approach this same combo in other ways; for example, they could want to be a "tank", then decide out of the six tanks, Knights of the Blazing Sun were the most interesting, and by default would be human - same end choice, much different thought process. Or they could see that Order was the underdog, so go for them, and then go that way on race/class. Or, they could see that Knights of the Blazing Sun were overpowered and sign up to be the flavour of the month. Etc., etc.
Anyway, I put down as many answers as the poll allows, and I think it encompasses most possibilities; if it does not fit you, just pick the one closest to what your answer is and explain.

Poll is a bit excessive ya think?
Archetype first. I like playing healers, so that was the first deciding factor I went with. After that, race. I prefer some races over others; i.e. no humans, no dwarves. Then class from the remaining options.
You should have a radio button with the choice of "none of the above", because I'm sure there are many gamers like me that choose based on a fondness they have. I love swords and other large bladed weaponry (ax, spear, etc.). I collect them, learn to wield them, and love to watch them in action at the dojo or on film.
My main in CoH is a broadsword/regen scrapper, guild wars: sword/ax wielding warrior/elementalist, and this week
I'm favoring the Witch Hunter for WAR. It doesn't really matter what race or side the WH is on, this week I think I'll have fun with his skill set the most!
I have to give honorable mention to the Elven Swordmaster! He's going to seriously kick some booty!
i usualy go class>race>faction but in war its mostly class(witch hunter)>the rest since class defines your faction and race but for me anything will go that can blast the enemy from safe distance.

I usually pick the least popular/underpowered class. I enjoy being unique and not one of million clones.
Like my sig shows, Im going for a Squig Herder, reason... love range, love pets and like being a sneaky dude. So far the only 2 sneaky chars in WAR is the Squig Herder and Witch Elfs by what someone from the dev. departmant said. But anyways, just like to be way back and supporting those getting the beating
always choose the underdog faction first, was horde on wow, midgard on daoc, and apparently from what everyone is saying order is gonna more than likely be the underdog, so order it is for me, though i gotta say i'd much rather be an ork
I start by eliminating Races which I am sure I will not play. I have no interest in either Greenskins or Dwarves, but there should be plenty of people who like those. I will pass on them.
That leaves High Elf, Dark Elf, Empire and Chaos. Those all look pretty good.
Next, I determine which classes I will "probably" like based on previous MMORPG experience. But ... this is tricky since I have learned that it is not wise to rule out any classes since each game tends to play out a bit differently.
Mulling this over a bit, I tend not to play the heavily-armored defensive tank classes. But that still leaves a lot of classes to choose from. The lighter offensive tank classes, the caster/nukers and the support classes.
I feel pretty confident that from among those selections one or more of them will feel "just right."
