Sweet Zombie Jesus! It was a funny episode, but an Emmy? Me thinks the poll was slanted...
ED: First!
MOM! BATHROOM!
So, I guess WoW motion picture wins Oscar is next and it's only a matter of time before it can be statisticly proven that WoW DOES cure cancer...
So yeah seems like the Emmys are complete garbage now. You could easily find a better animated program then that show. It was kinda funny, mostley retarded to me.
I love South Park but of all the episodes that one shouldn't of been one to win an emmy. The whole episode felt like just payed for references and not enough making fun WoW and it's players(mmorpg's in general really).
^^
Huh? I don't see how they could have taken the piss out of Warcraft players more. Players were constantly cast as nerdy hermits with no life and were massively overweight. All in the name of comedy of course, but how can you make them look any worse without people not finding it funny at all?
Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...
Well, my friends and I thought it was very funny as well as clever. A lot of work went into making it in order to get the characters to "act" properly.
You have to also remember that part of it is the idea and the actual execution of what was accomplished.
Now, whether or not one believes an emmy is worth anything or if one even watches them is another thing all together. But how many Music groups win grammys that are still composing in same old same old 4/4 c maj?
You have to look at the genre, and what is expected, what is considered new and different or just plain "worth the attention". Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't mean that it isn't great.
Remember, there was a riot at the premiere of the Rite of Spring.

I'd say this episode did exactly what Blizzard wanted. I know a lot of people who started asking me about WoW and through that, started playing it.
It was a funny episode and I'd go as far to say that it was one of the best that season. I would go on to so though, that there has been loads of episodes that come to mind that have been far funnier. It looks like this is one more step for Blizzards plan of world domination!
FLEE, FLEE FOR YOUR LIVES! BLIZZARD HAS COME TO SWALLOW YOU SOUL!
to me, the episode was a huge commercial for WOW. i think i found one thing in the whole show funny, and it was when Cartman crapped all over his mother. aside from that, the episode was kinda boring.
