Is this game playable on a dial-up connection?

If no one has tried it  yet, could someone let me know if the game is tick-based?

Thanx in advance for any help. I'm trying like crazy to find a new mmo to play.

I'd say no, you wont get it running on a dial-up. People with Cable and DSL have a hard time staying connected, cant imagine what a hassle you'd have. If you can stay connected for longer than 30 mins, you are in the minority. There are constant "sector not locked" ,"C++" and ".EXE" errors.

    Current games playing: MechWarrior Online
    Games being watched:  Project Genom
Favorite played games: SWG, RomaVictor, and Xsyon

the C++ errors and .EXE errors have gotten alot better over time they still occur of course and are annoying but they aren't as bad as they were say a month ago.

Actually, some of the best PVPers in the game connect by dialup.

I connect with dial-up and ping at 230. It's very playable until combat in the most populated area. But then EVERYONE lags so it's not a dial-up issue there...

This is one of the least bandwidth intensive games I have ever seen.  The network side of this game is one of the few things that is done well.   I've been connected to it for more than 3 hours and seen it receive but a few megs and transmit much less.

Plus, the patron of my House plays from Australia on Dial up.

And don't forget... I am forcing you to read this!
