Ok well this is a weird problem. With 2 GB RAM, I can run SLi, with 4 GB RAM on vista 64 bit, it will work just fine. However, when I use 4 GB RAM on vista with SLi on, it turns black screen of death and doesn't do anything when i try to boot up windows. I have updated directx 10, the GPU drivers, and motherboard drivers. Why will it let me run SLi with 2 gb ram but not 4 gb of ram?

Possibly bad RAM, not Vista's problem. Run memtest.
what memory test?

I run Vista 64 Premium with 2 7800gtx cards, plus 2 gig of ram and haven't had any issues with Vista. Now 3rd party apps that will work on Vista 32 and not Vista 64 is another matter.
BTW I'm becoming fairly used to Vista and like it better than XP. Although I also have a primary HD that runs XP for older applications that won't run on Vista.

what the hell is SLi?
whatisthatlongbuttonatthebottomofthekeyboardfor?
vista does not recognize 4 g of ram in sli
SLI stands for Scalable Link Interface. What it does is link 2 video cards together for more powerful graphics. I have 2 Nvidia 7800gtx cards linked by SLi. You will have to purchase a motherboard that has this capability though.
