i need a good mmo...but cant find any!

Where is the creator of the perfect mmo...i have tried eq(was fun back then..when i had no life..and could stay outside karnors(correct spelling?) castle and group with people for 10 hours straight and just xp...i tried daoc ..and that was also pretty fun back then..but it lacked in some areas..but had pretty decent rvr action....i tried swg..and i liked the different feel of entertainer classes etc..and the housing system..and especially the crafting..but then quit..since i personallt felt the adventuring part was lacking..and not too much into sci-fi.....i then tried ffxi..and today i dont understand how i could stay there as long as around lvl 50...then hopped over to eq2..was thinking i would finally find what i was looking for..but i didnt like the feel of the zoned areas..felt like it was not a real world..and the landscape was bland..and boring....then i bought horizons and tried it for 2 hours before i tossed it into my garbage bin....i tried guild wars..but i felt locked up in a linear world...then jumped to vanguard...tried it for 2 months before giving up as people were leaving in masses...i liked the crafting somewhat tho....then lotro...where stats didnt seem to matter that much..and you do things for traits that everyone else has anyway after grinding traits for ages...the graphics were nice and so..but i just felt it was abit too watered down...credits to them for the music system tho..and the smoking etc etc...decent roleplaying....almost forgot...yeah tried the famous wow also....all my friends are still there..but apart from them i just could not stand the community as a whole..having kids run after me and shout..duel...coward...cmon etc etc...
i think if they took the best of each area of every mmo released i would finally get a mmo worth playing..maybe im getting old and find everything boring...but i doubt there will never be a game that will suck me in anymore ..i hope im wrong..and that i will find a mmo in the future with the best community..best crafting...interesting loot ..player housing and more advanced player constructions... the most interesting world's and challenging mobs....
well that was my 2 cents and a half...am i just alone to feel bored...or anyone else feel like me????

Yup i feel your pain man thats exactly how i feel right now but i am trying out vanguard only thing is its kinda laggy and stuff but its pretty fun but i dont know if ill be able to stick to it. Have you tryed cov or coh? They are pretty cool i heard.

Nope..never tried cov or coh...have passed on them this far..since i never fel like running around in tight boxer shorts or something..hehe!
and im sceptic i would like the whole superhero theme...i was never into marvel magazines and stuff like that..
any free downloads or trials for that ??
i must admit i almost reopened my vanguard sub just out of pure boredom..got to the subscription screen and was about to press...then i was thinking..why?...why am i doing this.? ..and took my hand of the button and shut it down..
is vanguard that much better than at release??..would it even slightly be worth to try again?
You can just get a free trial on the homepage of mmorpg. Yea vanguard has improved alot. You just need a good computer to run it on. I got a free trial from someone. My computer is decent but im getting a new vdieo card and another 1g ram stick. In my opinion I would say give it another try if you dont like it just try some other games like i have.

hmm..i guess i will take a look at vanguard...tomorrow..since the patch is probably like 20 hours or so.. i think i will be at xeth server and try it out...
cant be worse than dreaming of tetris...

I dont know if your into scifi mmo but as a very deep/complex intriguing game with huge world with real political actoin/reactions from players and in game alliances. Perhaps try the 14 day trial of Eve Online. I was in your boat a few years back and had tried the beta of Eve online way back when it was laucnhed and never purchased it. Through it was crap and unfinished as well i could not get into bing a"ship". However when i went to try the 14 day trial so much had changed it blew me away. The tutorial alone is so well done and must do you will be amazed at the complexity with that alone. The community is also very mature and very helpful and there is only 1 server with 20-30k ppl on suimultaneously at all times which i liked. It was the only demo i have ever treid that i actually subscribed to after it ended. I played for over a year.
Basically give it a try with an open mind.
Otherwise if you want a good free mmo I would go with Anarchy online. Again, sci fi, complex but fun. If you can overlook the dated graphics now it still hella of a fun game with a ton of character customization and progression opportunities.

You will probably download longer than you will play VG. I give it a week at the most.
I feel just like u guys, tried everything out there since SOE/Lucas Arts blew SWG with the New Game Enhancement. Tried DnL, CoV, EQ2, SoH, LOTRO and so on. CoV is very fun, played it for some months but got bored after i caped my char. Missions are repetitive and the game is too much instanced. LOTRO i didnt like very much, its a cool game but too limited in character customization (both apearence and abilities) and i feel its more for Tolkien's fans than for MMO's fans. Actualy im playing EQ2 and SoH both great games specialy EQ2, but none of them is the game i was looking for. Lets just wait and hope some of the new upcoming MMOs is the game we want.
Sounds like you have to give Ryzom a try. Its an exceptional mmo, unique as it offers an experience that cannot be compared to other mmos. Has a free trial so you cant go wrong.
I tried EVE Online but i found it boring. AO is fun but i didnt like the graphics and dynamics of the game.
same here.. iam in wow rit now but kidz drive me crazy
and funfactor is too little. no good char customisation or housing naither.
i hope Fallen Earth will be good. and comes out without bugs. Fpsmmo is smthing for me i hope.
Id suggest trieing EvE online out. Its the most Sci-fi game youll find. The game is 95% player run. Its basicly a huge sandbox with tuns to do.

If you liked EQ 1, I am confident you would like EQ 2. I consider it the best MMORPG not only on the market now but possibly in history.
The Rise of Kunark expansion, expected to be released soon, takes many of the awesome EQ 1 dungeons (Karnor's Castle, Old Seb, et al.) and implements them into the game. Further, we are getting the fun EQ 1 features such as epic weapons again. In EQ 2, there will be two epic weapons: 1) for raiders and 2) for casual groupers.
As you can imagine, as an extreme EQ 1 vet player, I am excited about the Rise of Kunark expansion. However, I think it can be better than EQ 1's Kunark, but we shall see!
Definitely EQ2 is one of the best games in the market if not the best one. Still there are some things i dont really love. For example prefer SWG's crafting system, vendors and comerce (before NGE at leat because now theres no decay on items), old skill system was awesome too, 32 professions with hundreds of possible combinations, thats something i have never seen in any other game. I prefer SWG's non instanced housing system as well. But they say u cant have it all so i think even with these litle things i would change to have the game i wanted, EQ2 is possibly the best or most comlete MMO out there.
