I tried blaster but it sucks.

I have been playing on freedom for the last 11 months, played almost with all the archtypes but I cuould not satisfy myself by playing with a blaster. When I see 50 lvl blaster, I enjoy them seeing while they pvp but I don't know how they could lvl from 20 lvl to 35 lvl. I tried with somany alts but only could reach 28. It gets somuch debt that I finally quit and delete it. I feel week when it is 20 lvl to till my highest 28 lvl.

Suggest me your best built from lvl 1 and how do you slot?

I am desperate to have a tanker like blaster.

hmm, tanker like blaster, even with the power pool fighting, the  tough/weave will provide you with enough protection you could at least fight back a short time against a stalker's assassin strike. You won't get any serious defense and the end drain is horrid even with stamina. The Ancillary power pools add some more defense/resistance but you won't get that until level 41 at the earliest.

Better to go in with a scrapper like blaster (blapper) if close combat is your taste. Blapper's that I've played are Fire/Energy and Ele/Ele

I invest in the secondary powers since those are the close combat. Energy has some great mez control with all the disorients you can stack up, unfortunatly most of those powers are single target.

Electric end draining is very fun. Run up and hit a group with Short Circuit followed by Powersink leave a large mob with zero or next to zero endurance. All the while keeping your Lighting Field on to keep the end drain going on.

Look to building a character that uses some form of mezzing; Energy (disorients/knockback), Ice (slows/holds), Electricity (end drains). If they can't attack, they are not damaging you.

sonic/energy are also great combos. Sonic attacks reduce the damage resistance making the your energy attacks that more damaging along with the disorients that energy does, allowing you to not have to slot as much damage and slot more disorients.

    Hope this helps

your arguement is so persuasive, so filled with knowledge and insight. You back up your argument very articulately, with suggestions of improvements and raising examples to glorify your position....oh wait, you didn't

yeah, the energy secondaries are pretty good, except the knockback can really annoy teammates. my main's a scrapper and I really don't like it when a blaster knocks my current foe out of range.

The less you expect, the more you'll be surprised. Hopefully, pleasantly so.

My blaster is ice/ice, since I like being able to slow attackers.  That way they aren't attacking  me as fast as I am attacking them.

The PBAoE chill is nice too, slows melee attackers down nicely.  Plus with Issue 9 I began slotting many of my ice powers with the slow enhancment sets, really keeps damage off me since they attack very slowly.  Ice Sword is good melee damage and Frozen Fists helps too while keeping them slowed by you.

You're always gonna be Stalker Bait, best thing I can suggest if you worry about that is to load up on power pool defenses.  Stealth in concealment adds +defense but you'll run a bit slower.  Swift will help to counter that a bit.  Tough and Weave in Fighting would help you out too.  If you pick Flight or Superjump you can get Hover or Combat Jumping respectively to further boost your defense.

Ty so much for all the replies, now I could realise where I was going wrong. I used to concentrate in primary powers and I would love to make a ice blaster. I need to have patience till 40 lvl.

    Ty once again.... have fun....

I have played two blasters to lvl 50 an ice/ice and an enrgy/enrgy. I am now working on two more for PvP Fire/enrgy and an ice/enrgy. I would say the best way to get to lvl 50 other phan Power leveling. Would mid size teams. And be sure to wait till someone has the arggo then unleash on the mobs. Keep plenty of green insp handy as well as some breakfrees.
