can't forget the taurens... in this game....cows can fly.... once you hit 70 of course
it may not be as great as some, and it may be better than others. it depends on the player. yes, you can take our opinions into consideration, but really, why not try the trial and see what you think?
WoW is trash, the WoW Devs are trash, Pvp in the game is trash, pve in the game is more repetative trash, the graphics are trash, the characters look goofy (Especially humans). The game is a MAJOR grindfest and the end game is VERY VERY Repetative. For people who think it's cool to spend hours and hours a day raiding for equipment to make your pixelated character look and preform better....the game is for you. For people who actully have a life, the game is not for you.

Just try it out for yourself. There is a free 10 day trail download or you can buy a 14 day trial, for $1.99 ($2.15 with tax), at most gaming stores. EX. Gamestop. It's a great game, but I prefer sci-fi over fantasy more.
I'm still awaiting the next great sci-fi mmorpg.
AO: 220 adv Cblaze; 220 fixer Icevixxen; 215 ma Kimpu and many more alts. Currently taking a break to try other mmo's out.
Give it a try- if you get into a good guild and have some RL friends to play with, you'll stay on for a long time and really enjoy it. If not, download Ryzom.
Ryzom? o.O Ryzom is a dead game with only shadows left of what that game and his community once was... now its an empty server with uberlvls that have personal problems with eachother..... Really a shame, its a great game, but anyone getting in to Ryzom now is riding a dead horse.
Oh i never played WoW... could i be one of the magic 5?

WoW does not have cool features like housing, player controlled boats, or mounted combat. Its crafting is so simple that you can't take it as a second job, and you can't permanently change the world around you no matter how hard you try. It doesn't have any high tech graphics wich would most likely not work on your computer, and it won't even have ridiculous death penalties to discourage you from taking risks or trying something you probably won't be good enough to do.
And worst of all, it introduses player to the game world slowly and step by step, and thus it's easy enough to start playing it even if you don't have years of previous experience on MMOs. This is defined as shallow, as opposite to deep games, wich require players to deeply understand everything in the game before starting to play.
But despite all these lackings, WoW is really fun and well made game. The gameplay is smooth and enjoyable, everything is polished, and for an average gamer there is always something meaningful to do.
well, wow does not really have the "IT" factor that many mmo's do to differentiate itself from others. What it does have is the following:
Good population, certainly gives some peace of mind
solid all around game-world
relatively good combat compared to other mmos
Undead race and zones are the best overally anything in any mmo
such positives are offset by....
repetitive pvp
hidden timesinks
incredible gear-based community and endgame focus
seeming accessibility to casual players offset by length of dungeons/raids
crafting that ALMOST gets it right but you can never be self sufficient as a low lvl, need harvesting tradeskills instead
bad group xp penalty
irritating graphics, mixed results on music
I dislike wow but im here because of the population...its hard to justify going through the agony of lvling in an mmo for a game that might not exist by the time you get there....

Oh, yeah. I forgot about those. Not to mention the razorbacks

Extremism in the defense of Liberty is no vice.
Convince me to play WoW.
