When i was playing last year i was playing a Regen Scrapper and it was soloing pretty well until they nerf them. After that i started a fire tank but they nerf that too. I just pickup the 14 days trial and i'm looking to play an archetype that can solo well, anyone can give me a suggestion ?

Go back to your regen scrapper.
Scrappers are the most straightforward class to solo.
Others can too, but they usually bloom late or have a few vulnerabilities.
If you're staying hero-side, yeah, scrappers seem to be the best for soloing.
Villain-side, my favorite to solo with is either brute or corruptor.

The less you expect, the more you'll be surprised. Hopefully, pleasantly so.
It would have to be more than a year ago if you're talking nerfs. Pretty much all of those (especially any Regen ones) happened in '05. 2006 saw far more buffs than nerfs - and while they were minor, that's basically the tone of any power adjustments during that time.
Scrappers still solo the best, hero side at least. Villain side, they are all decent but Masterminds, Brutes, and Stalkers ahead of the other two. And regen is, as it was years ago, king of the scrapper sets. (Just FYI, Dark Armor scrappers are considerably better than they once were, all things relatively speaking.)
I would recommend going back to the old scrapper, warming up on him then considering if you want to use a free respec you undoubtably have stored up. (Type /respec in game.) I don't know what level it was, but one big change was the inclusion of Inventions, a loot/crafting system. So start collecting what you get there and investigating different ways to improve your character. I know you're just testing the water again on a trial, but I think you'd enjoy firing up the old character again. (BTW if you build them right, fire tanks are still fine tanks. They're just not pseudo-scrappers like they once were, and IMHO Amen to that.)
For what to try starting over with on trial, I would actually say try something different. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess, from your two previous picks and you predeliction for solo that you're not a big fan of the more "unusual" choices. So here are some nice powerful picks:
Regen/Energy Stalker *
Ice/Energy Tank *
Bots/Dark Mastermind
Ice/Energy Blaster
Fire/Kin Controller *
Illusion/Storm Controller
Rad/Psi Defender
Rad/Fire Corruptor
Energy Melee/Stone Armor Brute
Claws/Regen Scrapper
Broadsword/Dark Energy Scrapper
* The ones marked like this may take a few more levels before really coming into their own.

I think I had the most fun with my Claws/Regeneration Scrapper.
A lot of people will tell you claws sucks because it's mostly lethal damage (which is resisted more at higher levels), but I have no problem solo'ing most Elite Bosses. That toon does very well in PvP also.

For city of heroes ======== Regen scrapper
For city of villians========= Corruptor
For heroes would be a scrapper, regen secondary a plus.
For villains I'd say either Corruptor (nukes and heals) or Mastermind. Understand that you won't get your 2nd base pet til level six but that is the same level you can get your 1st pet buff. At that point soloing becomes noticeably easier.
I'm loving my katana/regen scrapper. He's good for soloing or teaming in PVE, and I'm loving that combo in PvP. A friend that does very well solo has a martial arts/regen.
MM all the way it's a bit slow till 6 but after that it's a breeze and if you keep in mind you are there for your pet's you will go far and fast
Spine regen is prolly the best pre-32, but firekin is from basically 32 on IMO. In fact after 38 Firekins pwn hands down.

I dont like to solo (this is a mmo, so if I wanna to play solo, I dont pays fees for a mmo...) but for villains I dont think like you.
Masterminds. They got almost everything a full team needs... you can do a "solo-team" toon.
If someday I want to solo and rise up a toon, it will be a MM, pets fire without wasting endurance, so can do during lot of time, when equiped got freakin-good skills, you can use your own to mantain them so, if you get held, they still fighting, if you are knocked out, they still acting, if you need to run, they can cover you... no way, an scrapper, or brute or corruptor, got only his own.
Brute, usually, dont got enought heal on his own (aye he got lot of resistances) no range attack, no lot of aoes,
Corruptor is weak, and can run easily out of end,
Stalker is (for me) the other best option, 1 hit 1 kill and can stealth misses.
Dominator. People says it stinks and is a crap. But I think you can use it for solo, cause they good enought damage (if you use a good build of course) and the crowd control is their defense.
Hero side.
Tank works great but it lacks a bit of damage in early levels, heals and aoe.
Scrapper is (as the quoted said) one of the best, regen is great to mantain a "good kill-rythim" but think it lacks about aoes, and if he gets held will be really hard to survive if the regen is negated.
Blasters are... squishy... crazy-damage dealers.
Trollers lacks of damage, you can try a fire/illusion but until lvl 32 will have lot of problems soloing, after them, with your pet (phantasm/imps) is another thing
Defenders can be good, cause they can attack and defend theirselves, after scrapper I think they are the best option for heroe side (try a kinetic/psi they do lot of damage for defenders and got lot of good buffs)
Hope my opinion helped you a bit
