    Great Read.

"it is hard for us to always be 100% true to lore (but we try our best!), but often it also seems that many speculate without having all the facts. What I would like everyone to know though is that Funcom has a long tradition for being a Story company. We are once again doing this with Conan. We care about stories, we care about giving our players a good experience, and we care about Conan. I am not sure how much clearer we CAN be to be honest when it comes to telling our sincere attempt to make THE Conan experience. Hopefully in the end we will not only please the most passionate followers, but also make Conan fans out of many new ones. There are so many which really doesn't know about the depth of this universe (as all they have seen is the movies). I therefore hope that even the most cynic of lore aficionados will see that our attempt to broaden the knowledge of Conan's universe will ultimately benefit us all."

I goto say as a fan of the Lore for a while now, I hope it does attract new people to the game because of its depth. But also Im not really worried if they can't stick to the lore 100% it is an mmorpg after all... Just taking a step into FC's version of Hyboria will be awesome enough.

I would agree with that quote. From what I've read on AoC they are doing a pretty good job handeling the lore best they can. Just my opinion but if REH were alive today I'd like to also think he would agree.

Now that the lore is there I just hope the gameplay is just as good.

I'm really quite interested to see how Funcom will "fill the gaps" as far as the variety of quests go. I'm sure they're going to be able to pull out a lot of different types of quests from the lore and so forth, but would they throw in their own ideas? I just hope what ever they add is as dynamic and immersive as Howard's writing.
