For reasons I can't exactly disclose I guess, my educated guess is December or next year, but I think even December might be pushing it.

Its been set for a Q4 release this year in europe.  I've heard that US should be a month or two after the europe release.  Being in the US, this upsets me because I can't wait to play this game...I would throw away the halo 3 i'll be getting in a few days to play this game...but I'll have to wait...

    Understood.

Well , if that is the case - i hope they give it some time - because the game looks like a potential sleeper hit

Orriginally the game was suppost to come out early this year, and just when they started their marketing towards release as they released the "within temptation - The Howling" video, they saw what happened to vanguard. A great game released to early was shredded by the community. They decided to push release back untill their jewel was truely ready for release. This game has only one chance at a first opinion, and that first opinion needs to kick arsss.

So, this game is released when its ready for release, they trying to get the same level of perfection as any blizzard game has at release. They are smart people, and they have learned fast from others mistakes. Estimated release is Q4 this year, but only if the game is ready to go gold. They are currently in the phase of...

    a) Bug hunting

    b) Fine tuning game-play

    c) creating new content that shall be optimised and added after release.

    d) Testing inhouse, and with a small closed beta.

I don't expect a true open beta, as a small company can't host 100.000 ths of beta players.

So there could be a december release in Europe, and an early 2008 Asia release.......they don't have a publisher for the US yet, so the release of this game in the US could be somewhat delayed depending on the success of the european and Asian versions.

Thanks for summing it up Bacchus. Now Q4 2007 will be very nice, but since it is a indy company making their first mmorpg the risk of them just not making it remains. So, I wont be surprised, but a little disappointed, when it will be Q1 2008.

I won't  be disappointed if it releases in Q1 2008. I rather see the bugs disappear than being able to play it earlier with them...

the fact that they don't have a publisher in the US yet is a pure shame...

Actually that makes some people on the other side of the pool feel how we EU players normally feel.

But it is a sad thing indeed.

I would be very surprised if they block IPs. They are just not that sort of company.

Their publisher will have a say into that too, but as long as there is no American publisher chances are you will be able to play the European servers.

If you are able to play on the Euro Servers, the problem becomes the ever dreaded Lag. With this game having "real time" combat or at least giving players the ability to dodge manually and having to target players manually lag will kill you.

ps: I will be playing on the Euro Servers if no US publisher is announced at release.
