You don't even know what the BBB is, do you? You should educate yourself.
Afcourse not because of its sponsor cause wel thats just plain childish to get paranoid about something like that. But it's what BBB actualy does and means and stands for, regardless their sponsor if a company violate's BBB rules then they wil make that known.
If I recall correctly, SOE was getting hammered with BBB complaints a couple years back (as well as Sony) and they became a major sponsor to stop it from being an avenue of complaint.

in this case, it would appear that for BBB... it was Sony's "Diamond" Sponsorship.
They (Sony) must have had A TON of flak to have to resort to "Diamond" with the BBB.

When you have the money Sony has, you can stack the stone walls pretty high.
Their problem is the time is coming where they soon won't have the money anymore. The film division is the only part of Sony that is in the black and is propping up the rest of the rotting corpse. Sony is basically propping up their electronics business, SOE, and the PS3 on the back of Spiderman sequels. How long can that last?

Well let's see now from Sony's track record...
Sony has pissed off customers dealing with Music CDs, of which a percent of them will not buy Sony products again...
Sony has pissed of customers dealing with Online Gaming, of which a percent of them will not buy Sony products again...
oh, and don't forget about the ever popular "word of mouth" advertising...
you know... where you tell your friends how CRAPPY you were treated, or how CRAPPY the product was...
and they tell their friends, and so on...
I see a pattern...
continue to piss your customers off, eventually you won't have any.

Sony has become a toxic brand name. You are right, they've basically F-ed every one of their customers in every aspect of their business.
20 years ago, I used to buy Sony because Sony used to equal the best quality product of that type on the market. This ceased to be true about 10-12 years ago, and only recently has caught up with them.
Add to that their extreme arrogance and unethical behavior (rootkits, NGE, etc), and you have a loser.
Whenever they announce their upcoming MMOs, I guarantee the NGE question will be asked and answered. As I said, toxic. Hell, toxic waste dumps may be more popular than Sony is right now.
Umm wow wasn't NGE what 3 years ago? Now I'm sure people have told you this before but really you need to get over it and let it go.
You voted with your wallet and cancilled, good for you! You've set yourself never to buy another Sony item cool, but really with the war in Iraq, Iran working on the bomb, economic woes throughout the world, gobal warming, President Bush well still being a president, you'd really think you'd have bigger things on your mind then yet another "Sony must Die!" rant.

Lead painted toys.
Wonder what else is out there we are not aware of yet.
I dunno about most of you, but when I go to the store nowadays and it says "Made in China" it goes back on the shelf.

In general players too WAAAAYYY too much faith in the BBB. The BBB has NO clue what Online Gaming companies do and in most cases don't give the correct response to situations that occur. Leave out the fact that they are supported by the same companies that they are reviewing, it basically cripples ANY credibility the organization has.
I say this as a gamer and as a person who as worked for more than 3 companies who now have BBB ratings that jumped from F/D to A/BBB. The Walt Disney Company was probably the most noticible in my opinion.
But idiots still cling to the BBB like they are a completely non-baised organization.
Too bad they aren't.

No, at least not to those they wronged. SOE has admitted that the NGE was a mistake, but to Vanguard subscribers, not on the SWG forum.

I love star wars (30 years now), just not the company that has the mmo license.
